I do find it odd (and this happened under Cortese too) how much freedom the players have to speak their mind to the press. Some of the things players have openly said seem worthy of a suspension or fine. I can't imagine that being acceptable within any normal corporation. Can you imagine?!

Yeah Bearsy, not like you to be the cynic. Doesn't suit you! We like merry Bear.

Also, I think we've been more vulnerable because we've only been x2 years in the Premier League. Our success is not yet established. Lallana and co have had a long journey to PL so I can kind of understand them feeling the need to make the most of their opportunities when they happen. Whereas I think we'll be in stronger position with the next generation, especially when we start winning things. We just need to cope well with big change this new season....all down to you Koeman! I think we'll do it...

Morgan Called Up for France WC Squad (Official)
Coxford_lou replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
He makes it look so easy, when Gerrard made it look so difficult. -
My heart says new Saints dominated England team will shine, and make Roy look daft for not picking them in first place. Head says complete change of team, who haven't played for 90mins for a few weeks, and they'll be humiliated...

I think she's bloody self centred for doing so. As is the paper for reporting it. Because they're basically ****ting on someone else. But I don't have any issues with her sex life, and neither Luke's. GB, be critical of her, but tart/slut language is really ugly, destructive and gets thrown at women all the time for doing nothing wrong. It makes me cringe just writing it now even though it's not aimed at me. Generally best avoided if you care about the well being of half the population.

I like being chatted up by funny guys with a sense of humour and harmless banter. I love talking about footie to random guys too. I'm not so keen on sleazy guys, or drunk guys that make a nuisance of themselves. Especially when they can't take rejection and get a bit nasty. It's kind of common sense really. On this forum, I'm also not that keen on the Nuns pictures or discussion about Kat's breasts (sorry Ohio!) but I feel like this is really a boys forum, and I wouldn't want to come across as ruining the fun, because I also think this place is very cool. The fact that we've just had a relatively sensible debate about feminism goes to show! Anyway, that's just my perspective.

I do.... If Shaw and Lallana play a blinder, it means $$$$$$ for Saintsfc!

So for women: Classy = OK Slag/tart = not OK For Luke Shaw: Go on son You've embarrassed your parents. But no moral judgement. Well at least that's clear, and I now know how to behave. I don't think she's a very nice person for doing this story, we agree on that. But when you use words like slag/tart for women about sex, young boys and girls get really messed up views. Sorry this is limited Saints relevance. I won't post further on the topic.

Wow, top response KRG! Was thinking it but didn't have the nerve to say it a male dominated footie site!

Another thing I would say is the quality of International football is so bloody high: it's easy to criticise individual players, and say Cork would have done better than Gerrard, Clyne better than Johnson, and maybe they will one day, but c**k ups get punished so much quicker at the World Cup. Both those players are pretty good at daft slip ups for Saints that they get away with, but would be brutal at world stage. I've said Lallana and Lambert should have been brought on, but we'll never know if they'd have flourished or just disappeared in what was a frenetic, foul ridden, pressurised game like that. It just ain't that easy.

Yes, I agree with all this. I actually didn't think Rooney was so bad in this game, given he was surrounded and fouled at every opportunity. It's the Gascoigne-esque Sterling/Barkley runs that 90% of the time lead no where and give possession away that bother me. Uruguay had a game plan against us, but ours seemed to be nothing more than attack attack attack, which just seemed naive. I also wonder if Hogson's multiple trips to St Mary's were as much about studying Pochettino's tactics than watching our players, but not really daring or having the expertise to pull that style off, so attempted a diluted version. (Attacking, some pressing, but no high line). Not sure, just a thought. At least Lallana and/or Lambert would have been looking for the intelligent through ball and retain possession, rather than the slightly mindless 'running at players'. We all asked for more attacking (or England 'going for it'), so we can't complain really.

Given how indebted we are to her, you'd think you guys would be more respectful...but no.

I enjoyed this link on Koeman, found on twitter http://www.benefoot.net/koeman-gave-feyenoord-its-pride-back/

And how funny would that be. We live in hope. Wonder what the odds for Saints finishing above Spurs next season are...

I like Goatboy - don't go away! Bloody excited about Koeman too...

Customer Relationship Management systems are actually really important, so it's great they're going this work. But it's pretty daft to publish a press release on this story now, and have it littered with marketing jargon. It's inevitable the fans will react as they have done so...

Simon Peach on twitter confirming 'advanced negotiations'. Then it ballooning across all media. I guess we do trust The Peach after all.

Gallagher? No one spots his moves...yet.

I was in the home end for that bursting to cheer, with swearing 10 year olds and pot bellied men all around me and my ex bricking it in case I jumped up. It was brilliant. I was so jealous to not be in the away end.
