  1. That's a great article. Sometimes you've just got to say fair play to the other team. Rather than pick yourself apart. It felt like a chess game, and they definitely outsmarted us on this occasion.
  2. Feeling really positive about this game. 1-2 to Saints. I've never seen them lose at a game. Omens are with us. Who's going?
  3. Yes I agree. And I think we'll have a similar issue against Chelsea as we did last year.
  4. What I wish. What I really really wish. Was that Saintsweb could be place I could come to, and discuss with fellow like minded Saints supporters, how gutted I feel when we lose a game, and how despite that, what great a team we are. Rather than a place that just destroys our team just because of one defeat. I also wish we'd win at least one game where I go see them in a pub. My 100% win record when I see them live is all well and good, but the walk of shame out the pub when you've just been beaten and you're the only Saints fan in there, and pretty vocal in your support, is getting annoying. Anyway, on to the Emirates. Hopefully more luck seeing them in person...
  5. Great thanks Goatboy, I might well do that!
  6. Hi Goatboy, Do you know if it works on an ipad as well? Thanks,
  7. FFS, get the facts right. It's a 50s haircut not 60s!
  8. Maybe so, but he's referencing the fans in this interview, and I don't remember us being in that mind set at that time: "Just moments after the end of Southampton F.C.’s final home match last season, Reed, the club’s executive director, sat in his seat at St. Mary’s Stadium and absorbed a steady stream of salty language from fans as they stomped up the aisles."
  9. Ha. Not sure what makes me laugh more: CB Fry's predictability, or Bearsy's randomness. But a good old 'media' thread always gives me a chuckle.
  10. It does! Fair play to Les for playing the game To Dubai Saint, and the guy in the other thread who mentioned the PR company - you were right, the attention has gone up significantly.
  11. I'm stating the bloomin obvious here, but you could take any one Man City game where they didn't perform well and say the same. Which is why a league isn't decided on the back of one performance. I can't believe that was the first time Merson had watched Southampton this season. Does the guy even like football?! What an embarrassing thing to admit.
  12. Great to feature in the NY Times too - people really are paying attention. I'm not remembering the sense of panic Reed is describing on the last day of the season - I thought that came afterwards. Or am I misremembering?
  13. Well given it's a home game, that means he's predicting us a win. Thanks Paul!
  14. It's pretty weird watching Spurs. They play our style, they sing our song. It's a bit creepy.
  15. Isn't it exactly the same statement about us each time as well? I think he just copies and pastes it each week.
  16. Ooh, I don't know if I've got a nub. And I'm a bit nervous to google it. I think I'd quite like one, where do I find it?
  17. God, you lot are so superficial. All about the looks. It's the personality that matters!! I Koeman.
  18. Yup, this is the theory I'm following. It's was just one of those games. Well done boys for fighting back...
  19. I'm like the chick on the left...
  20. Oh my god!!! If I'd know this would have been the consequence of starting this thread, I would have stayed in bed today. I love Bear!
  21. That explains a lot!
  22. "Hopefully these injuries will not affect Southampton's winning streak" http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/premier-league-aston-villa-vs-southampton-match-preview-9876933.html I would be fuming if I were an Aston Villa fan!!
  23. I like hearing these stories DP - keep em coming...
  24. Whether he stays longer than a year or not, it gives me lots of confidence hearing him speak. He sounds like a complete winner, and I hope that runs off on other players.
  25. Whaaaat? Oh my god. What a loser.
