Didn't we have a truly awful start one season when Shilts was in goal ? Something well into double figures of games played without a win. Or was I dreaming ?
-
We are not allowed to play him in more than 20 matches a season, so we don't burn him out before the Arse take him off us.

Saints 0-0 Barnsley - Reaction/Doughnuts/Lucy Pinder Thread

Therefore we are, in fact, stuck with no-one else to bring in, at least for the next 5 or 6 games. At this rate we might just have got to 10 points by that time, be firmly entrenched in the bottom three, and those two better be something special if they are to make a difference to the season's prospects, ( which a Stoke fan I spoke to on Thursday assures me Pulis most definitely is not ) -
Saints 0-0 Barnsley - Reaction/Doughnuts/Lucy Pinder Thread

But by forcing the sale of the higher earning players and mandating the use of the youngsters, Lowes' policies are having a major influence on the selection of the team, if it is short of him writing out the team sheet. If it is not for a financial reason, why is Rudi not playing ? -
Jan has been put in an impossible situation; Lowe played to his ego, and like all manager's he took a firm grasp of the chance to move up to a higher level. Unfortunately he is increasingly looking out of his depth, and there is absolutely zero chance of him doing or saying anything that Rupes hasn't sanctioned first. Also, does anybody know whether Wotte has any say or influence over the first team, as my impression at the outset was that he actually was the more able and experienced of the deadly duo.

The way things are going, Alps is going to end up being proclaimed a prophet. As said earlier on this thread there are only three positives from today's game; we didn't lose, we didn't concede, and Donny lost. -

Maybe we should transfer the whole team to the Dutch second division, at least Jan has experience at that level. -

Question for the 'positives' on here; is two points from 4 home games enough to keep you happy ? -
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7619923.stm "Mrs Bruni-Sarkozy was given a warm reception, but the biggest cheer of the night went to Metallica, who closed the recorded show with their 1991 piledriver Enter Sandman." And there is a video of Sandman as well.
-
What you saw was the short version, the Friday show is an extended one. The details are on the BBC website, as part of an article on the French singer who is married to Sarkozy, who is also on the show.
-
Metallica are also on the Jools Holland show, according to the beeb they close the show with 'Enter Sandman'. :smt035

No, but Skate Claridge on 5Live did.

I thought this thread was about a new wage structure for the first team squad

If the opposition outshoot you 13 - 4 with attempts on target, and have at least two goals called back for offside, and on top of that have a good shout for a penalty at the death, I think I can get a good feel for what is happening.

Why not have a forum for fans that have watched on telly ? You do not have to be at SMS to watch Saints, and you can even listen to some of the matches on the radio - you might not actually see the game but you can get a bl00dy good feel for what is happening !

One year's membership for the price of 18 minutes of football

He's learning then !

Have you got Zaphod's sunglasses ?

At this rate it will be the League 1 play-offs at the end of next season
-
From the comments on here during the game, and looking at the match stats, we were bl00dy lucky to only be one goal down in the middle of the second half, such that we could come back. How many goals did our opponents have chalked off tonight ? ( If we had the same lino as at QPR we would have conceded 4. ) How many times did KD save our bacon ? The defence is a complete joke; whether because of their own inability, or the lack of cover from midfield really does not matter, you cannot afford to play HOME games against middle-of-the-table opposition and let them win 13-4 in terms of shots on target - it looks like Kelvin is nailed on as player of the season already. If we don't get all 3 points on Saturday, and that is far from certain, then maybe it is already time for Rupert's master plan to be rethought.

Jammy gits would probably cover it

I make it we will go up 5 places when we win tomorrow.

At least the only way is up.
