The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

The thing about Waters is not the uniform, per se, as it is his character from The Wall more combining that imagery with his support for Putin. ( Edited post JB's response - confused as to why this merited a laughing emoji ) -
For a while my work mobile phone's predictive text would replace my name with 'Al Qaeda'. What was it trying to tell me ?

Back in the 80s we used to holiday regularly in Portpatrick in Scotland. Due to geography it was easier to watch Ulster TV than Scotiish, and the regional news had many more stories of bombings, shootings, etc than ever made the media on the mainland. -
It is the UK NFU that think the deal will adversely affect UK farmers. They ought to know. Also, these are some other opinions, ( or are they all guessing ? ); https://www.independent.co.uk/climate-change/news/uk-farmers-trade-deal-australia-b2046471.html "The UK-Australia trade deal could allow Australian farmers to flood the market with inferior products including beef and lamb, taking a heavy toll on the environment, undercutting UK farmers, and lowering animal welfare standards, the government has been warned. The zero-quota, zero-tariff deal agreed with Australia will increase UK farmers’ exposure to “unfair competition with outdated, cruel, and unsustainable farming practices the UK has already moved away from”, according to an analysis by a coalition of organisations." https://www.sustainweb.org/news/nov22-george-eustice-australia-trade-deal/ George Eustice, former Environment Secretary: "If some foreign court or foreign mediation process were to say as a matter of treaty that the UK had to accept beef from Australia treated with hormones, that could change the nature of this agreement considerably; volumes could rise significantly, perhaps to more than 200,000 tonnes over time, and that would have a very severe impact on British beef." https://www.politico.eu/article/liz-truss-uk-food-sector-australia-new-zealand-trade-deal/ "The disclosure has already sparked anger from the U.K.'s farming lobby, which has long argued the deals — held up as a key prize of Britain's freedom from the European Union — will hit its members hard, while campaigners argue it shows tighter scrutiny of those deals is needed. "It’s simply infuriating that the government ploughed on in its negotiations while, as these own government department reports show, ministers knew that British agriculture was likely to be the most impacted sector, putting at risk hundreds of millions of pounds and thousands of jobs,” said Minette Batters, president of lobby group the National Farmers' Union."

No, they will find their lowest possible price being undercut. Ultimately, most shoppers look at price over country of origin.

Start with the bloody golf courses.

Think how huge their farms are, and how big their herds must be, coupled with less overheads for compliance. Bulk shipping refrigerated produce is actually quite economic.

What is likely to happen is antipodean imports will undercut British producers to the extent that the smaller UK farmers find their businesses to be uneconomic. To quote the National Farmers Union evidence to a Government Committee; "Specifically, lower production costs and weaker standards will see the introduction of more competitive Australian imports that will become completely tariff-free after 15 years. Asking UK farmers to go toe-to-toe whilst maintaining their sustainability, environmental, and animal welfare commitments significantly risks the longevity of the UK agricultural sector in the future. "

A man on death row in Oklahoma was denied a stay of execution by the State Parole Board, despite the State Attorney General supporting his petition and stating the original conviction was unsound. Luckily the Supreme Court imposed the stay; https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/how-richard-glossips-case-is-challenging-republicans-in-oklahoma-to-rethink-the-death-penalty

She just has a thing for rich old men... https://www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/who-noor-alfallah-al-pacino-girlfriend-pregnant-b1084703.html "Pacino’s new love interest has a romantic track record with older Hollywood royalty, including Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and Clint Eastwood. Alfallah dated Jagger in 2017, when he was 74 and she was only 22. Alfallah also dated billionaire philanthropist Nicolas Berggruen, now 61, in 2018. She was also spotted on dates with director Eli Roth, 51, the same year. The following year she was also rumoured to be dating Eastwood, 91. However, she claimed that the pair were merely family friends."

The latest edition of "Scripts too far fetched for Hollywood"; Halfway up the mountain on the penultimate stage of the Giro, an individual time trial, Primosz Roglic had just taken the "virtual" lead from Geraint Thomas when his chain unshipped. He stopped to put the chain back on and a helpful fan gave him a push start back up the hill. This fan was in fact his former room mate on the Slovenian junior ski jump team, who alongside Roglic had won gold at the World junior championships, in the very Italian resort the ITT was taking place in.

On a serious note; Ukraine does possess the capability to launch drones at Moscow, but why do it ? Many of their Western allies have warned against action directed at Russian territory, although this may well be simnply words spoken in public for Russian consumption. On a practical level, the chances of a long range strike maintaining it's accuracy across 500Km of supposedly defended Russia and overcoming the GPS jamming and other EW protection deployed in Moscow are extrememly slim. As a potential false flag, Putin was a lot more violent when setting up his cassus belli for the war with the Chechens in 1999. One other point, looking at the pictures of the apartment blocks allegedly hit, there doesn't seem to have been any sort of explosive payload on the drones, although there is one video of a very large explosion as one apparently crashes in an open field. However, it has shaken up the Russian propaganda shysters.

Pure terrorism. What have the Russians done to provoke such a callous, violent, and inhumane reaction ?
