  1. As previously posted, the difference between negative 0.1% and positive 0.1% is hardly something that can be claimed as a rousing vindication, and may be even less significant once rounding errors are factored in.

Is the UK at war ? Mind you, you would be safe, they stopped recruiting 12 year olds as drummer boys 200 years ago.
  4. Take it up with Moggy, it is his delusion.
  5. It only mentions 'humanity', nothing about badgers. And to be honest, it doesn't actually give the doomsday timetable for humanity's demise - maybe nuclear war, or even the sun going supernova, will beat CC to it.
  6. Watched a video last night of Moggy on GBeebies saying that we should ignore net-zero and continue to use gas as much as possible because reliance on electricity for all our future energy needs is a risk. This is because of the potential for the more violent adverse weather due to CC to bring down power lines and disrupt transmission infrastructure, thereby cutting off electricity supplies - whilst gas is transmitted under the ground and is therefore resistant to the impact of storms.
  7. In his resignation letter Boris starts by saying the Committee were intent on forcing him out of Parliament, which is bollocks as it would have required a vote in the HoC to do that. He then goes on to say he has "been an MP since 2001", which is a lie as he served 2 terms as Mayor of London, and had to resign as an MP to take up that position. And that's just the first few sentences.
  8. And she would be more than happy to offer it up 😉
  9. Undoubtedly this is BoJo trying to control the narrative. Also, we now have a third Tory MP resignation. At this rate they will lose their Commons majority by Tuesday.

  11. Hey, I'm not just any old twat. I am a racist. traitor, remoaner, pinko, northern twat, if you don't mind. You were quite happy to snipe at SOGgy over his quoting the Guardian.
  12. Do you honestly believe that the 4 Tories on the Committee, including a member of the ERG, would allow a Labour Chair, ( who happens to be a well respected King's Counsel ), to influence their participation and colour their opinion and vote ? Given that no action can be taken against Boris until the Committee report is voted on and accepted by the HoC, where the Tories have a 64 seat majority, why hasn't Boris bluffed it out and waited for that vote ? Or perhaps he knows enough of the Tory MPs have had enough of his blundering buffoonery and want rid of him.
  13. Given your lack of understanding of the Committee that investigated Boris, nor are non-Guardian readers.
  14. The Committee that vets appointments to the House of Lords normally rejects about 1 in 10 of the nominees. They rejected 8 of the 15 proposed by Boris.
  15. Dawn Butler, MP for Brent Central, on Twitter: "Remember when I was thrown out of Parliament for calling Boris Johnson a liar?"

Some of the armour is reported to have been hit by KA-52 attack helicopters using missiles with a 12Km range. This is far beyond the range of Gepard or portable anti-air weapons and that the recent spate of long range missile attacks on Ukrainian cities has pinned their longer range AA systems back to protect population centres, meaning the KA-52's cannot be easily countered.
  17. So the Eurozone hits a negative 0.1% whilst the UK struggles to just sbout hit a positive 0.1%, and is the worst performing economy in the G7. Hardly something to crow about.

Baghdad Bob's Russian cousin; Nothing to see here, everything is normal.( Psst, look behind you ).
  19. Just got in from the Lancashire double header T20 matches in Blackpool. I am not sure why the scheduling leaves over 3 hours between the end of the women's match and the start of the men's. Just want a Hants win now for 3 out of 3.
  20. The COVID enquiry says it wants ALL messages between Boris and his advisors and Ministers from the start of the pandemic. Boris says this is fine, but unfortunately the Cabinet Office is in possession of them, so he asks the CO to return them. However, the CO say they cannot return his messages to him until they have sorted through and redacted them so that the enquiry only gets what the CO determine to be what the enquiry wants to see. The enquiry KC threatens the Government and CO with contempt, so they have now applied to the Courts for a ruling on the scope of the enquiry - which they initiated and set out the rules and scope of. On top of this, Boris says some of the early messages are on a phone that he has been told by the CO, ( responsible for Government IT security ), he cannot turn on because it is a security risk. IT security experts say this is nonsense and there are many ways to access the phone without risk. Sir Humphrey Appleby is alive and well.

"If we can't have it we'll make sure you can't either". Perhaps they are resigned to having to go back to at best the pre-SMO borders and want to cripple as much of Ukraine and it's post war economy in a fit of spite. Collectively the Russian nation act like a petulant 5 year-old.
  24. I am not sure that many blame all perceived economic woes on Brexit, but a similar number to those who do will swear blind that Brexit has had no negative effect whatsoever. The reality is that Brexit will have had, and will continue to have, a downward influence of the UK economy, if only because we have voluntarily imposed restrictions on trade with our biggest market and as yet have failed to find an alternative of sufficient volume and value, and there does not currently seem to be such an option in the short or medium term.
