Our daughter has just taken her 9 year old son to the GP surgery, as he is not well. The doctor asked her "Why are you here ? What do you think is wrong with him ? What do you expect me to do about it ?". Worth every penny.

So why did we pile into ISIS when they were holed up in Syria and Iraq ? Were they then a threat to the West ?

Nobody has forgotten them, people are wondering how many innocent people will have to pay the price as a consequence of violence from both sides.

ISIS affiliates were responsible for 4 of the 10 most deadly terrorist acts worldwide in 2022. Terrorist ideologies don't die that easily.

Rememberence Day is not commemorating a ceasefire, it is commemorating the fallen soldiers, sailors, and airmen of the British and Commonwealth forces in all conflicts of the 20th and 21st centuries. The date is symbolic and was selected for poignancy.

There wouldn't be a follow-up march.

Plenty of Muslim soldiers served, and died, in the British, Commonweslth, and Imperial forces in the conflicts of the last century.

The level of bs aimed at Labour by the Tory press is predictable; they are shitting themselves about the next GE.

If the Jews are all dead, why bother offering them a space inside your Islamic Caliphate as followers of a brother religion ?

But not in their charter, which is what is being claimed.

Hamas' stated aim is the total liberation of Palestine and the establishment of a state therein that follows Sharia Law - "From the river to the sea" in effect. The quote about killing Jews, etc, is one selected quote from their scriptures, used to justify the removal of Jews from the area as it is historically Islamic, and remains so in perpetuity; elsewhere in their Charter they outline that Christians AND Jews are welcome to live under Islamic rule if they are willing to subject themselves to it, but their own religious practices will be tolerated as they form 'brother' religions.

Why, at this time, is Netanyahu appointing a ultra-nationalist suspected of the arson of a mosque to such a position ? I think it shows his attitude towards all Palestinians, or perhaps his arm is being twisted up his back by the zealots propping up his coalition.

Now this is the sort of exchange that makes coming on here worthwhile.

Newsreaders on BBC radio who are to lazy, or thick, to learn how to pronounce names correctly. Last night on R5 storm Ciaràn was called "Kye-a-ron".

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67294809 "M&S has apologised after being accused of posting an Instagram photo of Christmas party hats in the colours of the Palestinian flag on fire. "

I wonder if to Hamas that is a semantic difference.
