  1. Certainly not. Trains from Pompey are full of them.
  2. Your point was about the DLR, which has no drivers, but does have 'passenger services assistants ' on board to check tickets, control the doors, and respond to incidents.
  3. Would you get on a 150 mph, hundreds of tons, juggernaut knowing there was nobody in the cab ?

    Russia

I don't see any benefit in an anti-European post - Brexit dick measuring contest as to who does what in support of Ukraine. What matters is that every EU and NATO member is contributing something, as are many, many, other countries around the globe. Of course Germany could do more; so could the French, the Spanish, and probably even the UK, but considering Germany's history think of the visuals of them intervening in a war that is supposedly being fought by Russia against Nazism, ( I know that assertion is bollocks but the Russians and their supporters would love it ). Also, remember that Germany was a prime mover in instigating the 1917 Russian Revolution. Politics, especially International politics, is a murky business, and even uniting, at face value, the Western nations in support of Kyiv will have involved a lot of issues being suppressed for the sake of presentation.

I think they are just formalising their 2 fingered gesture towards the Hague.

Jonnyboy - why the laughing emoji in response ? We all know you like to try to provide a counter argument by presenting the Kremlin's alternative universe view, but the Maidan was most certainly not a coup d'etat.

Shame that Russia could not accept the free and democratic will of a country to shed itself of Kremlin tyranny and oppression.
  11. Apparently 44 thousand 'cards' were released for sale.
  12. Looks like they are sold out.
  13. Because the Department for Transport run at least 3 of the regional franchises, and also the Government define the railways as a critical national infrastructure. The Govt don't legislate to prevent ALDI workers going on a strike with 100% walk out and total closure of all shops.
  14. The total wage bill for the NHS, excluding GPs and a few national administration bodies, is about £50Bn, or around 46% of the NHS budget. Of this wage bill, approximately a third is nurses' pay. Income tax in 2021/22 is estimated to have been £228Bn, with NI bringing another £161Bn. By very rough maths; awarding the nurses 19% would cost an additional £3.2Bn, or roughly 1.4% on Income Tax, assuming it is an 'across the board' increase and it is funded by that means. ( This is based on a few GOOGLE searches, and somebody else may well find alternative figures ).

The Russian Parliament is in the process of passing a law that decriminalises any action carried out in Ukraine if it can be considered to have been enacted "in the interests of the Russian Federation".

In the last 20 years my total intake of units of alcohol is almost certainly less than 20. Just don't see the point, I would rather have a mug of tea.
  18. Of the 5 'pundits', 3 think it wasn't.
  19. Indeed. Look at the second goal - as Alvarez puts the ball past the GK they collide. If the ball had gone wide, following Walton's logic, that would also have been a penalty. Is the GK supposed to allow the striker a frree shot ?
  20. Many national managers are of different nationality to the team they manage. Personally, from that list, I'd appoint Emma Hayes, just for the tabloid reaction.
  21. And could have been acheived 5 years ago.
  22. Is that the result of a 'desperate search' ?
