Oh dear, oh dear. As has been pointed out by Buctootim, the Donbas is not an entity, it comprises Luhansk and Donetsk. The 'referenda' are being held in these 2 regions, plus Zaporizhzia and Kherson. The only problem for the ballots is that Russia actually only controls one of them in near enough it's entirity - Russia doesn't even control the regional capital of Zaporizhzia. Given this geographical reality, how can the armed men knocking on people's doors, ( entirely NOT to intimidate, merely to ensure the security of voting ), be supervising a legitimate mandate ?
