  1. Liverpool and Manchester are in Lancashire, not Tyne & Wear.
  2. The RAF have removed the headstone fron Guy Gbson's dog's grave because it was called Nigger. Is this an insult to one of their greatest wartime commanders ?

    Coronavirus

    Here's the Guardian article https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/jul/15/coronavirus-contracts-government-transparency-pandemic ".......... There are plenty of other cases: such as the employment agency with net assets of £623 that was awarded an £18m government contract to supply face masks; the confectionery wholesaler that according to the GLP was given a £100m contract to supply PPE; and the £250m channelled through a “family office” registered in Mauritius, specialising in currency trading, offshore property and private equity, also to supply protective medical equipment. Altogether, billions of pounds’ worth of contracts appear to have been granted, often to surprising companies, without competition. I think we may reasonably ask what the hell is going on. .........."

  12. An AR-15 fires up to 15 rounds per second, and has an effective range of over 500 yards. A musket in skilled hands had a sustained rate of fire of 2 rounds per minute, which could rise to 3 per minute for short periods, and was almost totally unable to hit a fixed target at 50 yards. You can see the similarity.

    Well, Boris says so, Michael Gove on the other hand disagrees. Yet another example of the unity and clarity of purpose of the Cabinet

  16. But Brexiteers aren't xenophobic, no sir, not at all.
  17. Did you read what he wrote before making your insinuation ? He said that the issue was not physiological but lack of opportunity. There are some african professional cyclists riding for UCI teams, such as the Eritreans Daniel Teklehaimanot, Merhawi Kudus, and Natnael Berhane.
  18. Wilf O'Reilly won gold medals at the winter Olympics.
  19. Yes. My 3 road bikes, my wife's hybrid and e-bike shopper, my younger son's road bike and MTB, 2 dis-assembled road bikes hung on the walls, and my Son-in-law's MTB which we are storing whilst they have building work done.
  20. I'm beginning to think that GM and Wes might be right in their views of you as smug and condescending. ( EDIT: - PAL ! )
  21. I think this just about qualifies as a bike shed;
  22. Obviously you don't read the small print at the bottom of the screen during shampoo or wrinkle cream ads. https://www.theguardian.com/media/2005/aug/18/advertising.science
  23. That's a perfectly acceptable sample size when producing supporting evidence for a beauty/grooming product in a TV advert.
