"Gun sales are surging in many U.S. states, especially in those hit hardest by the coronavirus — California, New York and Washington. But there’s also been an uptick in less-affected areas, with some first-time gun buyers fearing an unraveling of the social order and some gun owners worried that the government might use its emergency powers to restrict gun purchases." https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2020-03-15/coronavirus-pandemic-gun-sales-surge-us-california

Our delivery driver last week said the best slots to select are the early morning ones, as the order is picked before the shelves have been stripped.

This doesn't affect me, so it doesn't need any smart arsed replies about self interest. It is a genuine discussion point; Many people fall into the groups being advised to stay at home, potentially for months. Presumably they will be expecting to do their grocery shopping online. With the online delivery bookings already being choked up for at least 3 weeks, ( TESCO only offer a window of 3 weeks for selecting a slot ), finding a free slot is extremely difficult. On top of this, many items are being restricted to 5 or even 2 per order. With the additional issue that there is no guarantee that what has been ordered will be available when an order is 'picked', are people going to find it difficult to actually get enough of certain foodstuffs and other items to tide them through to their next delivery ?

Or will he simply turn his wrath on BoJo for betraying his trust ?

NHS IT Security Policy probably follows Government policies in denying remote access. We had to install additional internal firewalls and 'DMZ servers' to satisfy the Cabinet Office that our own remote access services didn't provide a route of connection onwards to the Government Secure Intranet, which we were operationally required to provide office based access to.

Scroll down, it came up as the third article for me.

BoJo is obviously one of GM's snowflakes.

If I am on ignore then I can quite freely call you a t1t again. Yes your article is 'fact filled', but most of them go against your line of argument. With my degree in Microbiology ( including virology and epidemiology ) I am probably better qualified than you to comment on this subject. Oh, and as I am not a parrot, I will find it difficult to have a 'beakdown'. As Eleanor Bron said to Peter Cook when concluding their "It's a balloon" sketch in The Secret Policeman's Ball, "Pr1ck".

Spelling. ( See me after class ).

Why do you persist with being such a complete t1t ? That link says that COVID-19 is more of a problem than seasonal flu due to so much of it's epidemiology being unknown, that there is no communal immunity, unlike flu, there is no current or pending vaccine, unlike flu, and the death rate from COViD is far higher.
-
Tell Boris and your hero Donald. Can you find a recent, ( within the last month ), article by any immunologist or microbiologist, anywhere in the World, that agrees with your position ?
-
And your point is.....? The process for manufacturing and distributing flu vaccines is well established, and there is also evidence that you develope at least a partial immunity to all influenzas in a particular group if your first exposure to a flu virus is a strain within that group. There is currently no inherent immunity to COVID-19, nor any chance of a vaccine within a year.

With the World in corona-lockdown the levels of atmospheric pollution being pumped out by road, rail, and air should decrease significantly.

As long as it hasn't come from the same stable as Universal Credit, or the new Electoral Registration system, then it will probably be OK. ( Based on years of experience of trying to interface local IT systems with central government's ).
