Somebody with form for blatantly lying to Parliament. Mind you

Death by blue rinse and Zimmer frame.

Perhaps because the post of Leader of the Conservative Party is still, in his eyes, the poisoned chalice it was at the last leadership vote. Trying to unite the 2 wings has never been easy, but at the moment it may, to him, appear to be an impossible ask, given the total mess that currently exists within Westminster, courtesy of the Maybot's disastrous tenure.

If meat wasn't supposed to be a part of the human diet, why do we have canine teeth and the metabolic chemical processes to digest it ? One question I have for vegans is; if the entire country was to switch to such a diet, would that mean the immediate culling of all cows, pigs, hens, etc, as they would no longer have an economic purpose. ( So much for animal rights ).

Remember, 80% of things that Rory Stewart says are made up on the spur of the moment. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-politics-46225696/rory-stewart-apologises-after-making-up-brexit-stat

244 at least gives us something to defend, thanks to Fuller. Need the bowlers to put them under pressure early.

I loved the slip on R5 by the Tory backbencher, when asked about the possible new leaders he blurted "Oh God, not Gove", before continuing with " Ahh, that didn't sound good, did it ?"

To quote Malcolm Tucker "Come on, this is ****ing history in the making, right, this is the ending of a chapter of a very thin book that nobody enjoyed reading."

So, was Farage being anti-democratic in saying exactly the same thing ? PS: why are you afraid of a rerun ?
-
Wes, remember this ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36306681 There could be unstoppable demand for a re-run of the EU referendum if Remain wins by a narrow margin on 23 June, UKIP leader Nigel Farage has said. "In a 52-48 referendum this would be unfinished business by a long way. If the Remain campaign win two-thirds to one-third that ends it."
-
Worth a "cheeky insurance bet" ?
-
What happened in your formative years to produce such a bitter personality ?
-
Oh dear Wes, I have consistently said that whilst I think Brexit would be bad for the country, that the result of the referendum, once it had been legitimised, should have stood, and that having voted to leave we should simply leave. That is democracy. The whole balls-up subsequently should never have happened, especially the pointless 2017 General Election. My position on a potential second public vote is perhaps hope over expectation, but if a 'second chance' to produce my preferred outcome were offered, I would welcome it. I again ask the question, why are you so afraid of a second vote ?
-
Remain supporters are not anti-democratic. They just accept that given a change in pertinent knowledge, people are able, and should be given the opportunity, to change their minds. Why are entrenched Brexiteers so afraid of a rerun ?
-
I'm sad for you, based on your posting history on this thread, and that Brexit is likely to never live up to your expectations.

Expecting far more than will ever be delivered.

She has stuck a spoon into the dog's breakfast, given it a stir, and served it up as something new. It will be rejected, again, and then it will be "no deal", which Parliament has already said is unacceptable, or revoke A50. The diversion of the EU elections will throw some bile, hate, and spite into the debate, May will be replaced, but I don't think that we will leave this side of a hastily arranged GE.

This. Inconsiderate and selfish dickwads like these end up colouring opinions held about cyclists in general, and people end up lumping all cyclists into a collective to be generically disliked.
-
I take it you hold the same attitude towards inconsiderate drivers who think the same way.
-
Cyclists who don't wear helmets, but have headphones on. Cyclists riding at night without lights, and dressed entirely in dark clothing. Car drivers transporting loads too big for their vehicle, by having it stuck out of a side window. Car drivers doing 40mph in a 40 speed limit, but then slowing down to 30 if they see a speed camera.

People who use a bag to collect their dog's mess, then leave the bag in the exact spot that the deposit was made, or even tie it at eye level in a hedge or bush.

I have 3 nice bikes, but one of them I custom built myself from the individual components.
