  1. You are confusing me with somebody who believes what politicians say.
  2. See, we can agree on some things.
  3. "We've had enough of the Tory scenario. If remain win, there goes our NHS". Perhaps people really are too stupid to be allowed to vote.
  4. This is the BBC news report Bexy mentioned earlier, voters who chose leave but fully expected to remain in the EU, ( mind you they are Yorkies ); http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/video_and_audio/headlines/36630879
  5. Don't hold your breath.
  6. ‘I feel horrible. I didn’t realise so many people my age thought it was a bad idea. I thought change would be fun, now the pound is dropping I really regret it! ‘I hesitated for about a minute at the polling station and wasn’t sure at all on what to vote. My friend voted remain so I just thought they’ll counteract.’ The 19-year-old admitted that his vote was ‘definitely not informed’. Instead, he says, ‘I feel sick and wish we remained. I hate myself.’ Some of the things he told us he was hoping would come from Brexit would be ‘cheaper fuel, alcohol and less of the Calais drama.’ But after seeing a clip of Nigel Farage this morning, he’s been questioning his decision. The college student said: ‘I want a revote so I can vote remain, I wish facts were clearer before I messed up my vote. ‘Should have been made to watch like a five minute facts video for both sides at the polling station to be honest.’ Daniel Roche says he feels ‘lied to and deceived’. He told Metro.co.uk: ‘We were lead to believe that most of the money not spent on the EU was going to go on the NHS. ‘Now people like Farage have claimed that is not the case.’ If he could, he says he would vote Remain now. Not gunna lie I strongly regret voting to leave the eu. — Amy Loscombe (@Amy_BornThisWay) June 24, 2016 http://metro.co.uk/2016/06/24/people-are-already-regretting-voting-to-leave-the-eu-heres-what-they-told-us-5965067/
  7. One...Two...lots.
  8. Wonder who they'll blame ?

    Euro 2016

    Cedric doing OK so far.
  10. Didn't DC say that if there was a vote to leave he would be obliged to invoke Article 50 immediately ? Also, legally the referendum was a non-binding advisory process, as referenda are in this country - only the PR vote had clauses making it enforceable.
  11. A large part of Wellington's 'British' army were Germans - Hannoverians, Brunswickers, and Nassauers, plus a number of Dutch / Belgians. Only 25 thousand of his 67 thousand were British, ( many actually Irish - as was Wellington himself ). It was in truth a European army.
  12. Bloody softie southerners.
  13. I don't know, but it IS what they said, so maybe you should be asking them how THEY expected it to happen. After all, you fell for it.
  14. But you see, I haven't thrown my toys out of the pram. I'm disappointed, but no more than having the Tories in government. The sun is shining, I'm still breathing, all my limbs are functioning, and England won the cricket yesterday. Maybe Brexit will prove to be a good thing, maybe it won't, but we'll probably never be sure because we won't be able to compare with the situation where the UK remained within the EU. Maybe you'll be able to crow "I told you so", in 10 years time, maybe you'll grow to regret the consequences of Thursday's result. But look on the bright side, the footie season will be here soon. Chin up !!
  15. But the fact that they pointed this out repeatedly was clearly intended to plant the suggestion that it would be spent on the NHS.
  16. ‘In a 52-48 referendum this would be unfinished business by a long way. If the remain campaign win two-thirds to one-third that ends it.’ - Nigel Farage Read more: http://metro.co.uk/2016/06/24/remember-that-time-nigel-farage-said-52-48-votes-should-lead-to-second-referendum-5963900/#ixzz4CZe41oB2
  17. On the basis that our house voted 100% to remain, 4 votes to 0, my wife has declared UDI.
  18. As The Who put it in 1971, "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss".
  19. As any new member must be approved by all member states, this was always going to be the case, but the SNP will try to dismiss it.
  20. Hence the view that this was a protest vote, as much anti-DC as anti-EU.
  21. Technically, the result is only 'advisary'.
  22. Wales voted leave, so it'll probably turn out to be Chris Coleman.
  23. "If we leave the EU, the £350 million saved each day can go to the NHS".
  24. AIRBUS boss : "Britain will suffer," he goes on to warn, before adding: "Of course we will review our UK investment strategy, like everybody else will."
  25. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/business-36561095 Sources within Morgan Stanley say it has already begun the process of moving about 2,000 of its London-based investment banking staff to Dublin or Frankfurt. And it has a taskforce in place.
