  1. Perhaps not.
  2. Stephen Barclay, the Brexit Secretary, to the House of Lords committee; "Exit forms will not be necessary for goods leaving Northern Ireland for the mainland". Ten minutes later, "The exit summary declarations will be required in terms of NI to GB." And they want to force the bill through Parliament in only 3 days.
  3. He has not, technically, broken the law, but the question is whether he is trying to deliberately thwart or obstruct the intent of the law.
  4. Normally it is Saints conceding them.
  5. The fact that you can equate a result against Bompey with those against Liverpool, Man Utd, and Chelsea, shows how far we have fallen.
  6. Not to Wes...
  7. Wolves 0-2 VAR
  8. Maybe we should ask David Cameron.
  9. I suspect that Labour believe they can win a GE. If BoJo 'delivers' Brexit, or at least this version of the WA, then they don't have a chance.
  10. ERG members saying they may well back this deal as it leaves open the chance of a no-deal result in 12 months time.
  11. The "Benn Act" says that BoJo must ask for an extension if the deal isn't agreed by Parliament. Admittedly the EU don't have to acquiesce to the request, and Cummings probably has another cunning plan, but if an extension were requested and agreed then GE, not exactly a clear referendum given the poor quality of the options, but it gives 'the People' the choice, and at least this time it is a better informed one.
  12. Referendum ; this deal or remain.
  13. Why is this deal so good when it is effectively the May deal, which was repeatedly slated by all and sundry, with a revised arrangement for NI.
  14. Labour MP Ronnie Campbell says he will probably vote for the deal - but then again, he is standing down at the next election.
  15. If 'all possible deals' are unacceptable, including 'no deal', then perhaps that indicates that the whole thing was a stupid idea to start with.
  16. More likely an extension, no further progress, then GE.

  18. Always has been.
  19. "'No deal' is better than a bad deal".
  20. They rejected an October GE because BoJo could have gerrymandered the date once Parliament had been dissolved, and we would get 'no deal' by default, before the poll.
  21. "Pound Sterling rallied after the EU and UK finally sealed a Brexit deal, but the currency subsequently sunk again as it dawned on foreign exchange markets the deal will be dead on arrival at Westminster." https://www.poundsterlinglive.com/gbp-live-today/12235-brexit-deal-done-pound-sterling-rallies-vs-euro-and-dollar-on-breakthrough
  22. You cannot make a silk purse from a sow's ear.
  23. The last time Junckers opposed the UK they were painted in Luftwaffe colours. ( One for the hard line Brexiteers ).
  24. It is fundamentally the same deal, with some fudging of the Irish problem. There hasn't been time to unpick most of what took months to negotiate, so they have painted the despised 'backstop' in pretty colours in the hope that it sneaks past. Unfortunately the DUP noticed, and won't play along. If only Teresa hadn't called her General Election.
  25. How much of Teresa May's "surrender treaty" is still in there ?
