  1. Don't come back here, it's all going to ****. Canada is the new promised land!
  2. Agreed. Especially over the last 5 years things have become absolutely mental with transfer fee's and wages.
  3. 11m for Wanyama is likely to be the best bit of business done by any club this summer. Unfortunately our hands were tied with that one though. 15m for Ibe seems like a lot but considering the crazy money around now, I reckon they've only slightly overpaid by about 3-4 mil if they do end up signing him (young, English, PL experience although limited, etc). He could turn into a great player but he certainly isn't there yet.
  4. I think at the age of 32 none of the big clubs are going to consider an offer. Would he want to go back to Benfica if offered? Maybe after this season but I don't think before.
  5. 100% YES. Been with us for 6 years having dropped down a league to join us. Captain, role model and a credit to the club. Now he's playing in an international final! Congrats Jose
  6. Good price and think he'd be a good option to replace Pelle with if he does end up leaving.
  7. Funnily enough that's the last kit I bought and really liked. I'm certainly in the 'red yoke would have looked better camp' but here's hoping they switch it up for our Europa games (unlikely I know)!
  8. I know people are entitled to their own opinion but I can't get my head around the mass disliking of the new kit. Especially when you think back to previous kits that have been far far worse (Cortese re brand stands out as the worst we've ever had, along with the idiotic white pin stripe away kit the year before). Take a look at Stokes kit this year to see how bad a red and white striped kit can get. So generic and bland. Likewise with the Sunderland kit which is only saved by the gold additions. I swear some of you would only be happy with an exact replica of the Rank Xerox/ Air Florida kit.
  9. I'm fairly happy with it. I actually think Yoshida is fantastic cover (although I know i'm in the minority with this opinion) and Gardos showed flashes of quality before his injury. Assuming it takes a few months for Gardos to get back up to speed with a series of U21's matches under his belt then there is the possibility of bringing in another CB. However I just can't see us signing anyone better than Yoshida who's happy to be 3rd choice. That leaves Stephens, Turnbull and McCarthy. Obviously all are unproven at this level but considering the noises the club have been making about bringing through youth again i'd expect to see them training with the 1st team much more and ready to be called upon if needs be.
  10. Assuming they mean the Premiership is known for it's physicality and Steaua is not a unit. Could be the second coming of Juanmi or Mane then. Hopefully the latter...
  11. Sounds like a typical Saints signing to me!
  12. Ronaldo, without question. His game is infected with a constant petulance. I know we're talking player only, but a man who commissions a wax statue of himself to have in his house in undoubtedly a massive p***k.
  13. Away kits great, as are the keeper kits. Home kit would have looked better with the solid red instead of white at the top, but not bad.
  14. Jesus, that Everton answer. Funny old club aren't they?
  15. What's all this 'bra' hating about? It isn't even close to resembling one (how high up are your Mrs tits?!). Guaranteed that any of our larger supporters moobs will begin and definitely end way below the red section at the top. I reckon the kit looks brilliant and very sleek. Unobtrusive sponsor and separates us from the Stoke/Sunderland look. Probably our best since coming back to the PL.
  16. I'd be surprised in Martina didn't go. 1 year left of a 2 year deal and was primarily signed due to his versatility playing LB, RB and CB to cover the as yet unsigned VVD and Bertrand's injury. We signed him for 1.2m and should get a little more than that after 'that' goal and some solid performances. Could see him going to the championship? As I've said before I think Cedric could be great for us given a solid run of games and confidence from the manager, but I'd be happy spending 'big' on a new RB.
  17. Agreed. Truly awful. Crap template and all gold sponsor and logo? No thanks.
  18. I'd be pretty happy with that if true, especially the away kit. Stripes can be so dull and plain (see the last 2 years kits) so it's great when they add something unique in like the bar across the top. In proper colour and not a dulled out image I think it'll look great.

    Claude Puel

Really? I thought he looked bang average when we switched to 3-5-2 even though he wasn't so exposed defensively anymore. IMO he only received praise because he provided a couple of assists, but for every cross he got right I can remember him fluffing one and drilling it straight into their RB. Put it this way, if he wasn't an academy product then i'd be pretty ****ed off we spent money on him. But that's just my opinion

I'd really like to see Reed given more game time this year. I honestly don't see what Clasey has to offer that he can't provide. Targett is not good enough to start yet as proven in several games last season, maybe he never will be? Maybe 2016/2017 is JWP's season

    Claude Puel

Real shame Sammy Lee's gone. As said before, I'm not particularly excited by Puel, Black or Plancque but I think the club have certainly earned the right to be trusted by us in these matters! Welcome aboard guys! 8th place and a few fun trips in Europe would be fine by me. If you manage to squeeze Wembley in there as well then i'd be most grateful
  22. Good point about getting Gaston, Osvaldo, Mane and Wanyama off the books. Surely that must free up a huge wedge. If the club are in a position to increase player wages then I'd be very happy making any of those 3 our highest earner.
  23. Spot on. All three are players of huge talent and would be fantastic additions. Walcott especially if he stays fit and is starting every week. Obviously the issue which we couldn't get past are the wages though... Player weekly wages Walcott: 110,000 Chamberlain: 65,000 Schneiderlin: 100,000 Maybe we could just about afford Chamberlain at a push...
  24. I couldn't care less about his playing career really. I'm not excited because his record as a manager isn't great and his win ratios are the worst of everyone we've been linked with despite spending the majority of his managerial career with big clubs in a fairly poor league.
  25. It's about 99% Claude Puel and expected to be announced by the end of the week.
