I read the opening sentence (as you suggested) a bank of 4 defenders, a holding midfielder, play from the back, 2 central midfielders next to him, a striker moving around and two wide attackers. yep, definitely not a popular set up at all. Just us (and Cryuff's Ajax)...that play a 433 with one holding midfielder that plays out from the back.
