  1. A Prime Minister resigned. The £ plummeted. The FTSE 100 lost significant ground. But then the £ rallied past February levels, and the FTSE closed on a weekly high: 2.4% up on last Friday, its best performance in 4 months. President Obama decided we wouldn't be at the 'back of the queue' after all and that our 'special relationship' was still strong. The French President confirmed the Le Touquet agreement would stay in place. The President of the European Commission stated Brexit negations would be 'orderly' and stressed the UK would continue to be a 'close partner' of the EU. A big bank denied reports it would shift 2,000 staff overseas. The CBI, vehemently anti-Brexit during the referendum campaign, stated British business was resilient and would adapt. Several countries outside the EU stated they wished to begin bi-lateral trade talks with the UK immediately. If this was the predicted apocalypse, well, it was a very British one. It was all over by teatime. Germany, USA and Canada have already publicly stated they want a trade deal with the UK outside of the EU Not a bad first day of freedom.
  2. but the next summer question by new signings would be daft. Don't see any other premier league club with a churn of first team people as we do
  3. it was also bad timing for those who work during the day
  4. view of an economic commentator in Italy https://www.facebook.com/DemocraziaVerde/videos/275977272757274/
  5. suck it up buttercup
  6. It is about control. People want a sense of control. Not hard to understand but then, you just dismiss it, Juts put it down to Farage peddling a line. people have been raising concerns for years and have been told to shut up, told they are racist and such like. now look at what's happened. in deep historical labour areas, their party could not represent them any less I don't think. UKiP will hoover up the votes up there. So dismiss their concerns all you want, look down on them, call them thick, stupid and racist. But it is that which has brought this result.
  7. the people have spoken if labour and other politicians listened to them over the years instead of looking down on them (white van man tweet for example) then remain would have won by a landslide. People have been raising concerns about immigration up north and on the east coast for years. only to be called racist
  8. I fully look forward to this emergency budget where taxes will rise, spending will be slashed should happen any day now I expect amazing with the amount of people seemingly not accepting the result.
  9. 6th in the league, club open about champions league Is this French chap the best we can come up with?
  10. I think we will leave and become as suggested an "associated member" and pay a fee for free trade (weird) and that will be it.
  11. Leaders of German businesses and economists are starting to demand that there are no barriers regarding trade with the UK when we leave. it will cost A LOT of german jobs other wise.
  12. we are bound to have a hefty profit again this summer
  13. around 25% more people voted to stay with the UK than who voted to remain in the EU. In Scotland that is
  14. Proposals for Scotland to become an EU member are already opposed by Madrid, which fears it would encourage Catalan secession. As it did in 2014.
  15. got to love the endless spin from the media. deep divisions around the country, the country in turmoil, absolute uncertainty.
  16. or people in Labour areas wanted to vote out?
  17. Labour have completely lost the views of their people. Labour areas won this more than anything I suppose being a white van man and proud to be English is too racist for Labour these days
  18. who ever replaces Vic will probably be of the highest quality. Given the clubs likes to tell anyone with a microphone that we want Champions League
  19. my father in-law lives between Bordeaux and Bergerac. He moved over in 1990. Says it was simply stunning part of the world. Now there are oodles of eastern european beggers and crime is sky high in comparison from eastern European bods. he messaged me earlier saying all the french people he knows are insanely jealous of the UK for voting out and the EU is no way popular what so ever in his small part of france. the hysteria will calm down in 2 weeks, the Chilcot report will be out
  20. where is that?
  21. what part of france you living in?
  22. if there was a FREXIT referendum anytime soon, how would France go? tight as it is here?
