  1. We need someone to come in and give us what Ralph gave us when he first came in.
  2. A great read as always, thanks!

    Oriol Romeu

FFS, it's a grown man changing jobs...so why am I so emotional?! Best of luck, sir. Always a legend in my books.
  4. Ismaila Sarr, then? Got to be worth a look!
  5. But more importantly....who's getting the shirt?
  6. And the hypocrisy of Sky keeping Carragher after he spat at a kid, when they apparently care about their 'brand'.
  7. Our no.7 (Edwards?) He's a right box of tricks! Some really tidy feet under pressure.
  8. Media report a player who forces their way out of a team because they want to earn more at a bigger club, or play at a higher level. Football fans moan. Media report a player who gives pretty much their whole career to one club (a club they supported as a child). Doesn't moan; doesn't fuss; always gives 100% and stick with them when they get relgated; is instrumental in them being promoted again... and football fans moan.

    U18s

Same here. I grabbed mine, but it can't be sold out, surely?
  10. There won't be a better post on this thread than this one.
  11. We didn't score an own goal, they did 😉
  12. It was us singing that at them. As soon as the own goal went in, City fans were silent. They had the whole Northam end too, don't forgot. Just depends where the mics were positioned.
  13. It was about us.
  14. Fucking raging after that one. Hate Newcastle and hate the fact we didn't know how to break them down. What's happened to Tino?!
  15. Ely's run was brilliant. Proper teamwork.
  16. To be fair, he's got form for this kind of stuff. I actually stopped hating the guy some time ago: Stayed with his boyhood club as long as possible (they may well have wanted to sell him, given £100m was being thrown at them), and he's an immense talent. And he's got form for doing good things with fans. He's often the guy at the end of the game jogging over to give a kid in the crowd his shirt, and sometimes his boots too. Don't get me wrong, when we play him and he falls down all the time, I call him every name under the sun, but away from the pantomine act, I think he's probably one of the good guys. His new hair looks shit, though. Actually looked better before!
  17. KWP and Stuey on
  18. That's what I was screaming for. It was obvious.
  19. Nope, he had a 'mare last night. Although a Leicester fan might argue otherwise.
  20. It's cracking business. We're effectively being paid to play him, and he's easily 1st choice even if we weren't. Signing of the season in the PL, for me, when you take into account the financial aspects.
  21. MLT is in Awbridge now, near Lockerley over Romsey way.
  22. I'm looking forward to the next game just so I can watch him play football again. Genuinely the most exciting signing we've made for years, and he's a defender!

    Josh Sims

edit: Just seen the other thread - looked 3 times and missed it. Posted this, and found it! Apologies! I know he's gone now, but I've just been reading an article on The Athletic about him. Jesus, he's had quite a rough time of it recently. Club have been classy through by the sound of it, despite him not having a contract here. https://theathletic.com/2958956/2021/11/17/i-had-this-stabbing-pain-i-thought-it-was-a-heart-attack-josh-sims-explains-why-he-hasnt-kicked-a-ball-since-may/?source=dailyemail&campaign=601983 Always rated him, hopefully he can kick on from it.
  24. Oh, and Kevin Keegan had a place on the road from Hiltingbury to Ampfield, if memory serves. My gran used to tell me every time we passed it when I was a kid!
