Puncheon had a solid season, thought he was our best attacking midfielder by some distance. -

He's the worst of our first team midfielders off the top of my head. -
They're pretty generic traits that would apply to almost any position. He's not great at running past people and his crossing is pretty awful, he's a LB.

In that he plays on the left?

People get more excited on Xmas Eve then Xmas, such is life.

Shall I type it again?

Why not? It shows the ambition of the club and that their money isn't drying up.

Toon Saint's bumper Premier League 2013/2014 preview
Pastor Patrón replied to Toon Saint's topic in The Saints
I'm getting less optimistic the longer the transfer window goes on. I think we're improving but was expecting too big a jump in quality. -
Reading your posts just makes me picture a downy wearing a monacle and top hat tbh.
-
Sounds like he'd be ideal as an impact sub for England if we're chasing a game, you don't want more of the same on the bench. But yeah we need a new top class striker, I just don't think we'll get one, I don't think Damiao would get 15+ a season and can't see Osvaldo coming even though he'd be ideal age aside.
-
He could be quite easily if we don't manage to sign a top quality striker, doesn't strike me that Rooney is exactly going to hit it off with Moyes and Lampard is getting on a bit. How does he not fit into the England system, I haven't watched them in 3/4 years because they bore the tits off me?
-
The whole point was that it would be two seasons. If England don't pick someone who is highest English goalscorer for two consecutive seasons to go to the WC it's utterly moronic.
-
If he finished the highest English goalscorer again there's gotta be at least an 80% chance he'll go.
-
Plus it's World Cup season, score 15 goals again and he'll have a hell of a chance of being on the plane.

You can take it as being the result of a cat running across my keyboard if you like, it's not interesting enough to discuss to that length really.
-
No as I don't care enough about this issue to sit talking about it in detail for another twenty minutes. If you want to chalk that one up as a point for yourself to soothe your pedantry feel free.

That's great, unfortunately I don't claim to be a spokesman for Saints fans. When Guly was scoring and creating goals I had no problem with him whatsoever, remove the end product from his game though and he's a waste of time, as Le Tissier would've been if he didn't score and get assists.
-
Well you let me know next time he scores 15+ goals a season to make up for his lack of enthusiasm and work rate and I'll let him off the hook.
-
Yes, this is why Chris Marsden is held in higher esteem than Le Tissier among Saints fans.
-
I didn't say Banega would do well, I said he was more skillful. I have my doubts he would but like Ramirez he'd be easy to flog back to the continent so it's worth a shot.
-
Cool I'll be sure to keep an eye out next time Saints enter the World Cup.
