Let's calm down and re-group...

I don't think we'll lose Wanyama. If we were to lose Schneiderlin and Wanyama then we'd get a combined £50m for them. Could replace them with Clasie for £14m and Alex Song for £11m and then spend £20m on a striker... -

*Not sure if serious*

Yes, but he works for the BBC and has a far further reach than those on here.

Yeah, but I think we'd lose Toby and Morgan anyway - we can't afford Toby's wages and Morgan is leaving whatever this Summer. -

Yes, and they obviously couldn't find one with the correct attributes. -
For me, his fawning over Lallana and those he had contacts with turned him from a BBC journalist - who are meant to be impartial - to a tabloid journalist. I thought he was good until last Summer, but he tried to whip up a whirlwind of hate towards our board by reporting one-sided stories. If he worked for the Mirror then whatever, I'd expect it. But the way he reported on it last Summer left a very bitter taste in my mouth. He will still maintain that Lallana acted as he should have, because they're mates. He wasn't impartial, but he should have been. That is my main issue with it.

I assume you're ignoring the save against QPR, yes?
-
The biggest problem was we didn't know what MoPo was going to do, and that lost time cost us. The thing was though, Lallana had a world cup to deal with, and his transfer could have waited. But he didn't, and the rest is history.

Yep, he's been excellent. In fact, I cannot really complain too much about our defence in the Prem this season, if players have been injured the players replacing have also played well. Been very impressed.
-
He never revealed his sources as far as I knew? This argument was had last Summer, and I still feel the same way, so not sure I'm re-writing history.
-
What can't you work out about 'completely against our board?' You only have to look at his tweets and articles from early last summer (May to July) to realise he was reporting on the problems from one side only, the side of the players he had contact with. I expect better from someone on The BBC gravytrain.

I wouldn't put Begovic or Hart ahead myself.

Agreed, especially with shooting from distance when the weather was like it was yesterday. -

I think it's because we're relying on pace (Elia, Mane etc), where we need creativity. We miss an in form Tadic. -

I've asked this a number of times, you won't get an answer as there wasn't anyone suitable. We looked, but no-one was available, so we trotted the line out that we didn't need one. And that's that. -
Blackmore and his mates... Remember when last year Blackmore was completely against our board, giving a one-sided representation of what was actually going on at the club...here he is again trying to save face. Pathetic Mr Blackmore, pathetic.

I wouldn't call it abject though. Liverpool are the in form team in the league, and we dominated them. We should have had 1 maybe 2 penalties which would have opened the game up and given us more chances. Playing against an organised bank of 10 is bloody difficult. And really, this is the point. I'm not sure how you can judge that as abject. You need to keep things in perspective. -
Me too.

There has to be a scapegoat though SS, there has to be.

I'm sat outside Wimbledon at the moment. 50 minutes late and counting...

Need Tadic back in.

Yesterday was frustrating. Disappointing, but mostly frustrating. We should have had at least one penalty early on, Liverpool were able to sit back due to scoring a worldy very early on, they should have had their keeper sent off, and we couldn't break down a team that now hasn't conceded an away goal in 5 games, and are the leagues form side. As with both Swansea and West Ham, we are struggling to break down teams that sit back and hit us on the break. This is different to the start of the season when teams would set up to attack us, and we would destroy them. Yes, we probably won't get Champions League football. It was always a tough ask without a world class striker and/or creative midfielder. But that's OK. We have still had an outstanding season. We still have the chance to push this the whole way with Utd and Liverpool having very difficult run ins. Even then, we have next season. Fingers crossed we can keep the majority of our players in the Summer, bring in a new striker, re-group and go for it again next season. It feels like this board has lost all perspective on this season imho, and that our demands of our club/players is unreasonable. Anyway, that's all in my opinion. COYS.

I don't know what people expect from Forster, do they expect him to be the best keeper in the world or sumink? I would say he is the 4th or 5th best keeper in the league. That's good enough for me.

So, been stood at the station since 06.50, 3 cancelled trains in a row, and a 3rd party waiting a meeting I am now going to be over an hour late to...
