I am starting to REALLY like Shane Long, he really gives us a different type of player, and is surprisingly good in the air as well. He doesn't give us goals, but neither is Pelle at the moment, and they are both still making excellent contributions.

That is how deals are agreed nowadays. Clubs ALWAYS talk to players before a fee is agreed to agree terms. Not sure why you're questioning it myself? There is still an agreement that needs to be done between Arsenal and Saints, but Saints have indicated what they'd take last Summer (£27m) and i am sure Arsenal will pay that.

Not how transfers happen anymore. The two agents appoint an intermediary (ie. a mediator) so the agents both independently go to said mediator and discuss terms. This means the agents never discuss a deal, hence no tapping up.

It'll be similar to the Shaw deal. An agreement has been made between the player and Arsenal. Arsenal still have to agree a fee with us, which will be done in the Summer.
