Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
nta786 replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Jannik on the bench tonight for Denmark- good for us just needs to come back unscathed and covid free and all is good! -
I think that’s the 2014/15 season you are thinking about If I remember correctly we weren’t doing so well nearer Christmas in 2015/16 and there was even talks of Koeman getting sacked! Until we then went on that amazing run to the end.

My guess is as they were drawing they decided to throw the kitchen sink at it so took off a centreback to put an attacking player on. It worked, they won in the 93rd minute and still have a chance to qualify for the finals now. -

So Vestegaard starts for Denmark tonight I presume this ‘minks’ stuff will be exempt for elite sportsmen then- let’s just hope he tests negative on his return -

I think I saw Jannik in some training photos! Glad he has not gone to Denmark -
Big 6 clubs can go do one 3 subs all the way for me. Man City/Pool complaining yet they only used 1 sub and 2 subs last night respectively?!?!?! Them clubs just want to use 5 subs against the small clubs whilst keeping best 11 on the pitch when it comes to their games against other top 6 clubs For me the only thing I’d accept and I think that would work quite well would be to allow 4 subs- 3 as normal now and then the 4th sub has to be an U21.

Mourinho just confirmed that PEH will miss the first two games for Denmark He will then travel to Belgium for that game sole game and he’d then be able to come back without any worries. I wish Jannik would consider similar for us! -
Onside by ‘.05mm’ That is so small I can’t even fathom it and as I alluded to earlier above, the still pictures they use are by no means 100% accurate. I think your example about the 32 seconds etc would rightly be criticised if that were to occur, but at the same time I’d like to think most people including pundits would see over it if the attacking player was only a big toe offside (because the footage is not 100% accurate) Plus, if the official operating VAR makes a howling decision in the 30 seconds time he has to review footage when it is glaringly obvious, then that is terrible officiating and blame should go on him if it is not offside and vice versa. I agree offside should be black or white- it should be looking at furthest foot forward and move on. Get rid of those dodgy lines they draw from an attackers knee lunging forward or the armpit
-
To wade into the offside debate, I am pretty sure that even the frame rates they use affect these decisions. They can’t be certain when the ball is released from the playmaker/assisters foot, and these shoulder lines etc they use again is ridiculous- just look at furthest foot forward and that only. It is a bit of a joke that in 2020 we are using odd camera angles too and nothing that is parallel to the line Also, I personally think VAR should be given maximum 30 seconds to look at the footage- if a decision can’t be made it isn’t a ‘clear and obvious’ error then is it!

If anyone wants a really good laugh (yes some responses are balanced but still an odd thread to even begin) https://www.friendsoffulham.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=4es0uuho71hbm9oc0oohvj6um7&topic=77465.0

Interesting words from Ralph picked up by the pundits. ‘Stress’ might have been the wrong word to use from Ralph but he isn’t wrong; our awful home record these past few seasons speaks for itself
-
i love you for this!
-
Why didn’t Armstrong shoot?!?! It was on his right should have tried far post surely?
-
Scary free kick I’d put Redmond on for Djenepo and then Long or any other striker for Walcott
-
Yeah I agree with that as well! Always inconsistency when it comes to refs
-
Can VAR check this but i didnt think it was a pen tbf Edit: they did yeah never a pen
-
Wow first Bednarek then Romeu!! What a strike so unlucky
-
Che did not foul that centreback
-
Walcott everything right but the finish!
-
Will cut him some slack, playing in a completely new position on his wrong side and without the minutes on the pitch. however that is 3 times now I think he has pssed is straight to the opposition, one will be punished soon if we’re not careful
-
Walcott just shanked it lol
-
Lets not tempt fate guys! Save the table until the end

‘Hope all your pets are locked up’ I never knew this was a phrase. Fireworks a good touch though I guess
