Spotted this in the Metro earlier so not entirely reliable but might help calm nerves about Alderweireld at least. Southampton have completed a one-year loan deal for Atletico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld, while they continue to work on getting a move for Sadio Mane over the line. The Saints have had an active transfer deadline day as boss Ronald Koeman looks to bolster his squad before the 11pm cut-off. With less than an hour to go, the club have wrapped up the loan signing of Belgium defender Alderweireld, despite widespread interest from across Europe. And club officials continue to work on completing a deal for forward Mane, who has also been targeted by Tottenham this summer. A fee of around £11.8m is believed to have been agreed between the Saints at Red Bull Salzburg. Meanwhile, Gaston Ramirez is set to depart St Mary’s, joining Hull City on a season-long loan.

Bit early for that I think. No-one has said the deals have fallen through (yet) so I'll reserve judgement on that for now.

Imagine how the Hull fans must be feeling. They've just signed a player that's been at Saints for two years, is constantly injured and has hardly played a full game in all that time.
