  3. Yea, think you're probably right there
  4. Just spotted this on Wikipedia (I know!): "Following Southampton's relegation from the Premier League after Sport Republic's first full season in charge, Šolak admitted that the club's owners were too distant to have a full understanding of what was happening and pledged that they would be more involved in future." I wonder if he did get more involved. 🤔
  5. I appreciate that but it's all there isn't it? Tonda claiming he knew nothing, analysts saying they were bullied into, internal messages etc. Not sure what more there is to investigate apart from waiting for the final report from the EFL and reading that.
  6. What is there to investigate? We confessed to everything FFS.
  7. I've only managed to get to very few games this season and I feel gutted and sad, particularly after reading the Sienza message. Quite how you season tickets holders and those that travel religiously around the country to follow the team feel I can only imagine. My heart goes out to you.
  8. I imagine there is. No doubt the good folks at P&O will be looking very closely at this and pondering their options.
  9. This 100% I (like many others) had absolutely no symptoms. Just had a PSA test as an after thought after a separate illness saw me blackout on a aircraft. Turns out it was a particularly aggressive type of prostate cancer and it was caught just in time before it spread. If you're over 50 and haven't had a psa test yet, give your GP a call and get it booked in.
  10. Good luck with the radiotherapy. I hope it works our well for you. Had my prostate whipped out in January. Had my second post op PSA result today and it was all clear. Sort of put this football bollocks into perspective somewhat.
  11. I suspect he's been on board for a while. Not the sort of bloke to just rock up unprepared IMHO. If he's involved it seems we might have a case. I'm sure he wouldn't want to be associated with a no hope case.
  12. Could be that we win the appeal and get a hefty fine instead of expulsion from the play offs and end up worse off if we go on to lose the game.
  13. It does which makes the penalty a little farcical. If we lost the game, the penalty for spying would have just been a four point deduction. We'll never know if we've lost £200m and 4 points or just 4 points. That's why a large fine and points deduction would have been more sensible. A definite penalty for the offence not one determined by 'what ifs'.
  14. Boro selling tickets for the final from 1pm today: https://www.mfc.co.uk/news/2026/may/20/ticket-details-for-sky-bet-championship-play-off-final/ with no mention of the possibility of it not happening
  15. They'd need to take legal action pretty quickly to get the final postponed at the very least. Once it's done, there's no coming back from that.
  16. So I have a thought about this apparent whistleblower. How long has he been at Boro then? It strikes me that he may have mentioned what he'd seen at Southampton long before the matches between the two teams. Why would they not? So have Boro been sitting on this evidence hoping that it would be useful to them at a later date? And low and behold, they get us in the play offs and knowing about our antics, merely wait for our intern to turn up, catch them red handed and cry foul play in the hope that things turn our as they have. If this is what really happened then had they disclosed this knowledge earlier we'd likely have got our 4 point penalty this year, still been in the playoffs and beat Boro fair and square as we did. This whole whistleblower thing strikes me as highly suspicious. I hope our legal types have pondered about this.
  17. I find it astounding that the club still haven't issued a statement on this. Even if it's just to acknowledge the decision, tell us they're appealing, to hold on until the appeals over and reassure fans that they'll be fully reimbursed for tickets and Saints travel. Instead we just have silence. Talk about contempt for your fans. Jeez.
  18. No, it doesn't prove that at all. We have an ageing population so within the next 5 to 10 years we will have a large chunk of our working population that are no longer working. We already have insufficient working people to fill all the vacancies. By preventing free movement of European labour we have just exacerbated the situation and brought the problem forward even sooner. Anyone that's studied the population data would tell you there was a problem brewing even before we left the EU. We need more working age people to pay tax as a large number of the population will be drawing their pension which need to be paid for by those that are working.
  19. Might be a silly question but what's IPTV?
  20. Thanks. That is good.

    Play offs

Couldn't agree more. We were sat on the coach for ages at the ground after the game with loads of Derby fans taking the **** out of us. Classless the lot of them so I'm very happy that they've buggered it up this time.
  25. Jesus Christ. Three games in a row where I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. The forced change to bring Gabby in changed the game. Superb second half performance all round. Charlie ran his socks off. Happy with the Saints. Its a nice change to se a battling display like that. Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk
