  1. Agreed. He's really starting to become the player we'd always hoped he would. He's obviously taken some advice from somewhere as he's changed his game in the last dozen or so games. Passes forward (decent passes too), getting stuck into tackles and scoring goals.

  3. I see Theo scored a couple tonight
  4. I think you know what I mean but as I said I see very little chance of us staying up this season. Draws just aren't enough, we need a run of wins and I don't see where those wins are coming from.
  5. Not good enough. Nowhere near it. The only positives for me were JWP who had another good game, Stephens and Hojberg too. Good for Carrillo to get a run out. I'm sure he'll improve with game time and playing regularly in the team (if he gets picked of course). Their keeper had very little to do though. Against a team of Brighton's quality we should have tested their keeper far more than we did. No surprise though. We seem to be able to up our game against the better teams (Spurs and Arse at home and Manure away) but then play sh*t again against teams we should be beating. I know we're only 1 point from safety but we just can't get a win and at no point tonight did we look like we'd get one today. I think we're doomed.
  6. I'm going 1-1. That's not enough from this game but it's how I suspect it'll end up. Draw or loss at the weekend.
  7. I suspect the more realistic reason for this shambles is that Promes took one look at our league position and recent performances and has hedged his bets. If we're in the PL in the summer then he'll join us, if not, then he's had a lucky escape.
  8. But there again, he is the chap that said this: More Aaron King Retweeted Aaron King Hearing big reports that Balotelli has now passed his #Saintsfc medical. 11. Have I read this wrong or does he say he showed a picture of Promes to his wife from his phone but later on says there are no pictures as he was steering his small person away from the shop? #suspicious Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  12. Maybe you should read my post again where I say that if we signed Promes or Gaitan in addition to Carrillo then I'd be "very happy" with our dealings in this window. Clearly you can wait for as long as you like before making your mid up about individual players but that's not what I said. When the transfer window ends, you must have a view on whether, on the face of it, it's been successful? IMHO, we need a goalscorer, a fast winger and a CB. It was always very unlikely that we were going to get all 3 in January but if we manage Carrillo and Promes, I'd be "very happy" with that. Disagree? Coincidentally, I note there's a vote on Twitter on the same subject as follows: https://twitter.com/antonydjames/status/956623456166187008 Not just me then. But thanks for your opinion on what's best for me anyway.
  13. Red and white blobs on the emoticon. #suspicious
  14. I see what you did there!
  15. Me too. I don't buy into all the negative ********. We get it whenever we sign anyone. We've got a target man that we've been crying out for. Promes or Nico Gaitan to add to the squad and hopefully we'll pull clear of the relegation zone. A CB would have been nice but if we get Promes I'll be very happy with our dealings in this window. 16. Played very well today. If we keep that up (big 'if' I know). JWP was my MoTM today. Thought he was excellent and with a few goals in his last couple of games maybe he's finally becoming the player we hoped he would be.
  17. We'll finish 19th. We've only beaten 4 **** teams all season. It'll need a ****ing miracle to dig us out of this mess.
  18. There are some proper conspiracy theorists on here aren't there. The club will undoubtedly have a Conflicts of Interest Policy which will cover such situations. Do you really think the club, that deal with Football Agencies all the time, are not aware that Les Reed's lad works for Midas Sports? There's also a small matter of the FA's Conflicts of Interest Policy and the fact that any transactions undertaken where there is a possible conflict need one of these completed: http://www.thefa.com/~/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/agents/.../ag3.ashx Les isn't the first person connected with a football club to have a potential conflict of interest with an agent and he won't be the last.
  19. I was at the Arsenal game but missed the Brighton game because my daughter was being born. Sixteen years later and she's been a season ticket holder for many years too [emoji3]. I do have my old seat from the Dell in my shed. My brother in law managed to requisition it for me. [emoji3] To be honest, I don't remember much about the final game apart from preying that MLT would score and the explosion of noise when he did. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  20. OK, so I might have been a little optimistic at half time thinking we'd go on to win 3-0. I forgot about our tactic of trying to hold onto a 1-0 lead and making stupid substitutions. Lucky Fulham were poor finishers otherwise we'd have been doomed again. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  21. Think we're doing OK. Could have wrapped this game up by now if we'd been given the penalty and Long had been half an inch further back. Mccarthy has had nothing to do. I'm going for a 3-0 win. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  22. 11 points and relegated
  23. Just a few oiks. Can't have been older than about 15. Ran about, got confused about what to do when they were on the pitch so ran of into the arms of the waiting stewards.
  24. I thought we had the best chances of the second half. Romeu hit the woodwork, Cech made a good save, Bertrand could have scored with a little more composure, then there was the Charlie offside when the ball came off an Arsenal player chance. All I can remember from Arsenal in the second half was the goal and the Sanchez free kick so we hardly sat back and hoped for a 1-0. IMHO
