Looking at Puels league finishes he did well in his first and fourth (last) year finishing 4th both times however in his second season he only just stayed up by 2 points and then 11th (out of 18teams) in his 3rd season. Looking like it's going to be him, hope Les has pulled another rabbit out of the hat!

If it was between him and Puel I just think Silva would be the more exciting appointment, not only to us but for the players, like when Poch came in the players loved him. If it's Puel I will back him though and see what happens, just can't see the excitement of him being appointed compared to a manager like Silva. Where's this new Poll then? Should be Puel Silva FDB Yakin?

Yep Silva for me, great record at a small club that had to sell their best players, a good albeit short record at two big clubs, young up and coming coach, plays attacking football, knows the Portuguese league and has experience in Europe.

Koeman probably didn't give a toss about becoming a legend at saints though, he's already a legend in his own right as a player at Barcelona and for Holland.

It's different in Holland probably but in the English top division the constant questions and speculation from the press would be unsettling for the club and players, I believe that the club offered him a new deal with a release clause for CL clubs or Holland at 4.5m or so a year, he got a better offer from Everton with more transfer funds felt it was too good to turn down especially as he had taken us to 6th already with a very low net spend and felt he couldn't take us any further. Whether that's the right decision time will tell, if he had stayed though he could of been a legend if he had won us a trophy or broke into the the top 4. If he does that for Everton they'll be overjoyed but as they're such a massive succesful club they expected it and he most likely won't leave a legend and will simply leave with just a much fatter wallet.

He was that price for the same reason Wanyama was that price, both worth far more but both only had 1 year left on their contract.

Had Mane scored 24 goals this season and we'd won the league maybe, just a hunch..Think we'd of made an effort to keep him. Mane scored less than half and we're probably still making an effort to keep him or have already tried and got nowhere with the agent who loves a move for his bank balance.
