In reference to Toby and Morgan it is if they are level headed people, they can see the team is at Spurs' level on the pitch, they can see we produce world class players from our academy, the can see our recruitment process is top notch whereas Tottenhams is terrible.
-
Spurs were the Jammiest team of all last season there goal difference says it all, they might well play better this year and finish 7th!
-
A better team, Nah. More prestigious? who cares as long as you can pay me more than them, right? So it seems London is the only thing going for them at the moment.
-
What I get from this is that spurs are a complete mess, I mean we got rid of ten players last year but around 5 were out of contract or went on loan and 5 had heads turned by other clubs so we got huge money for them. They're actually trying to push ten out the door who still have high end contracts each and every one at a loss, ha. They might of made money off Bale and Modric but this summer should confirm they have literally wasted most of it. Why any level headed top footballer would want to join them over us is baffling
-
If true Liverpool really do take the p*ss don't they, Leak an offer to the press and it turns out to contain add ons that still equates to less than the fee in the papers. They did it with Lovren and Lallana last year. Whereas with Shaw and United, we never had any of this.
-
What if Gaston was so happy here he would accept a new 3 year deal on a smaller contract, would you take him or would you rather sell him at a loss of about 8m? Though the percentage of us wanting him for 3 more years combined with a footballer willing to take a pay cut means this has a 0.000000001% chance of happening.

Roy Hodgson warns Clyne over attitude in response to Slovenia game
Saint IQ replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I don't think anything you said is good argument for him not being England manager, just reeks of an opinion blinded by hate. He wouldn't be able to buy players, he'll be able to choose whoever he wants (who is English) so he isn't trying to get this "triffic" bargain from somewhere and isn't ruining club finances He won't bother with tactics? I think he just might? He won't be interested when he can't make money out of it? I'm pretty sure they don't pay Roy Hodgson peanuts and it would probably interest him more than any job in the world So that's what your argument is for him being an absolute waste of time? I actually just think it would of been a good fit Anyway he's a clip I just saw on the Telly to do with this very subject! -
Transfer update on Clyne, Schneiderlin and transfer priorities
Saint IQ replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
What records did they break? I'm interested. They did go on a good run mid season where they beat us 3-0 at St Mary's in the middle which probably made their season less shameful More money than before coming in to all 20 clubs of the PL means teams will be getting closer to Spurs and Liverpool in terms of quality, spending the money wisely is the key. Which Us, Swansea and Everton seem to do very well -

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/nathaniel-clyne/club-after-summer-transfer-window Clyne odds, can't help but think a little punt on United would be successful. They still need a right back and most people can see that he would be a perfect siging for them. Young, English international, 3 years experience in the premier league plus the added bonus of getting one over on Liverpool who really want the player. They haven't had someone hold down that right back spot since Gary Neville retired for god sake. For Clyne it would make sense as well, even from Liverpool its a step up, bigger club, champions league pretty much every year and they'll be able to pay him more. Oh yeah and United win league titles it's worth mentioning to Clyne that in the premier league era Saints and Liverpool have won the league the same amount of times..... -
Can it be said that they even 'agreed' a fee when from what I've read he had a release clause in his contract of about £3.5m. So they had no choice.
-
I like the deals sorted early yet it seemed to go so well getting them in so late last season "If it ain't broke..." The fact we got them so cheaply means we have no need to sell so we won't be selling cheaply, much like last year. Having said that, I like the deals sorted early.
-
What makes Mike Ashley think he can get Troy Deeney for any less, the fact they're in the premier league and finances are far healthier means they would probably demand at least 15m for Deeney. Unless of course that story is completely made up.

2 years. And he isn't first choice as he was on the bench for the qualifier

Roy Hodgson warns Clyne over attitude in response to Slovenia game
Saint IQ replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That's why I think Redknapp would be better as he would have his way, the spurs team he had was very good and actually twice broke into the top 4 which looking back at it now was an incredible achievement, they were also enjoyable to watch whereas since he was sacked its gone downhill. One thing he is good at is picking good players, forget QPR but at the skates and and spurs he got teams to win the F.A cup/get in the top 4 whether that was affordable to the club or not it wouldn't matter in international management. -
That's probably Portugals best result for years, always struggling to defend and perhaps they've found the answer albeit so late on in his career. Should be able to make it up to the 2018 world cup though if his form and fitness continues
-
If Liverpool are the only team willing to pay 15m I would still reject and just let Clyne run his contract down just because its them but I would do it slyly by saying to them yeah yeah let us get a replacement in first then boom, transfer window shuts in 24 hours and they have to get in a two-bit right back

Yeah as much as I dispise him Redknapp would of been a good fit for England manager instead of Boring Roy for the last two tournaments. Was never going to happen with his dodgy past though, tit. -
It is actually really hard to predict where he is going to end up. Assuming these teams are interested.... If he wants the best team and chance of winning trophys but far less playing time he could go to Chelsea If he wants to play in Europe but still not guaranteed game time every week he could go to Spurs, Liverpool,West Ham or Us If he wants guaranteed football he could go to Everton/Villa (assuming Benteke/Lukaku leave) or Newcastle, all bigger clubs but away from the south Or he could get guaranteed games at Palace/Bournemouth which are smaller clubs close to home.

I do, in a way. Chambers got in ahead of Clyne as soon as he played a handful of games for Arsenal, Lallana got more starts when he went to Liverpool. Etc. -

I'm inclined to think Gary Neville has no say in the starting 11 and that he would actually be a far better manager for england. -

England Job has clearly made him more and more senile. Can't wait for what he does at the start of the euros like squad selection- Jones, Walker + Glen Johnson in the squad and Clyne out? -
