Apart from Zola and Di Canio (signed well over a decade ago), I'm struggling to think of a sucess story of an Italian in the Premier League. More recently they all seem to be flops, Theres Osvaldo, Balotelli, Aquilani, Bianchi, Dossena, Borini, Giaccherini, Diamanti and probably some more. In fact Pelle could be argued as the most successful italian in recent times Also players coming for big money from the Italian league always seem to fail to impress, I've already mentioned Mario and Aquilani but remember Veron went to United for huge money and was awful and of course our own Osvaldo and Ramirez. I remember watching him against Chelsea this season and although they lost everything he did was class. Could argue he will be more useful with higher quality players which I believe we have compared to west ham. If we could get him down to 50-60k a week I'd take him on a 3 year deal. Would show he's not all about the money then as well

Song would be a superb replacement for Morgan. Experience in the league and looked very good for West Ham earlier on in the season. Could we afford his wages though? Would have to take a wage cut to join us surely

Scored 18 goals in his first season in the premier league so he prob is worth 15m but if he is set on going to us we could get him for less I think bearing in mind QPR's dreadful financial situation.

Not really, I would say we actually performed as well as Liverpool and Spurs but Spurs got the most luck. If we had the same amount of Luck I reckon we would of been 5th liverpool 6th spurs 7th. Our goal difference was so much better and one draw against pool and a win at home instead of 2-2 and we would of been 5th. The amount of points Spurs got when they were the worse team on the day was astonishing

Probably if we spent wisely and got some high wages of the bill (Osvaldo and Ramirez) we would still be within FFP but he clearly wants to go so selling him is 99% certain.

Also there could quite possibly be a sell on clause in his contract like there was in Lallanas Lovrens and Lamberts So we might not receive 25% of the fee.

Agree. I would want 30m for him there is still 2 years on his contract, we have no need to sell and he is one of the best in the league in his position.

I'm 60-40 him staying now, what he was saying the other day saying we're pushing up and "why can't we be a top side" makes me think he'll sign with a 25m release clause in his contract and give us at least another season. If he goes to Liverpool of all teams that would be a right kick in the teeth and hard to take after last summer Would have lost 5 english first team players in one year 6 homegrown if (when) Morgan goes. Speaking of which I'm tempted to whack some money on Arse for the League or some sort of double next year with Morgan in their ranks, he's exactly what they've been missing since Viera and Gilberto Silva and the Defence is starting to look more solid.
