  1. We will not qualify for Europe. Koeman has done a fantastic job but the other teams in the league have us sussed now and just let us play our pretty football knowing there is no edge.... We would actually be better playing route one in many games but Koeman will never do that. I have my sympathy for his reasons.... he is a footballer through and through... So steady as she goes for this season and with the £75M we will get from the sales of Spider/Clyne/Toby(clause money)/JayRod and perhaps W-P we can move onto the next phase..... ( of course 4-0 tonight may make my post here loo stupid.... here is hoping )
  2. I am a Saints fan but I am not an idiot.... we can not score goals.... we are NOT finishing in the top 6.... not by a million miles..... The top 6 clubs at the end of the season will have averaged 2 goals at least per game in their final 10 games....
  3. Clyne is not the player many think in my humble opinion....He has been able to express himself at Saints whilst a concrete midfield held the fort at times... this will not be the same at some of the "big" clubs.... he will be another Shaw.... but it matters not..... £25M will do nicely....
  4. dose of realism here.... I think in July we will loose Toby,Nathan,Morgan,Jayrod and maybe even Jose.....
  5. Toby will move on.... Yoshy and Fonte will be one of the best pairings in the Prem next season....
  6. Well for starters he dived in the first 5 minutes for a Pen instead of staying on his feet and trying to score.... it does not get more dire than that in my books. It speaks volumes.
  7. Djuricic was shocking... dire. Pelle is a linking forward, he needs foils and has headless chickens around him... Koeman is starting to show flaws... this is not about Pelle. Its about how you build a team. Why the hell was Tadic on the bench ?
  8. Lambert was a hero for Saints.... but has everyone forgotten his interview when he rubbished the cub and its board !?!? All three of them are history.... I could not care less what they do at SMS on Sunday so long as Saints win....
  9. No this did not happen. I have been told by someone in the know that Puma wanted the contract for this season but Saints were intent on home-brew for this season. Adidas were in no position to sue Saints for millions since their delivery in year 1 was not as per contract... The one year deal we now have is of no real importance since Saints can judge the delivery in the autumn and then court several suppliers with an obvious preference to stick with what you know. If we get a Europa league spot or better.... you can guarantee that the club will sign a very lucrative kit/apparel contract well before next seasons end....
  10. people are forgetting the reason why Lallana is now disliked... Its not because he left to play for another club.
  11. Saints are bound to attract potential buyers in the coming months.... thats a no-brainer.... But the jungle drums I have heard say that Katharina does not want to sell SFC.
  12. total and utter bollux..... [ no offence ] ;-)
  13. " you warm the bench like a wino...... warm the bench like a wiiiiiiiino...... you warm the bench like a wiiii-no. [ that will do ]
  14. Saints were never offered anything "bespoke" by Adidas... Cortese just did not have a clue when it came to negotiating with a global brand. My point was a fairly subtle but an uncomplicated one... that is... once Adidas decided to take SFC on for the supply... they then royally took the **** out of us. Which was childish and unprofessional in my opinion. I happen to think now Saints are much better placed and with our rising brand , Adidas will actually genuinely be interested.. as will Puma and so we can negotiate the best deal for 2016/17. If saints are serious about dancing with the "bigger" clubs , we need to raise our game across many business strands and merchandising is one of them , this year has been a dead year and a huge waste of potential. Furthermore, although admirable to have a local company sponsoring the club, I would have thought a more globally recognised company on the shirt would also enhance the brand.... English clubs seem rather dire at this part of their brand... ManU having the dire car brand on their shirts being the prime example...
  15. He played hardball right up until the last minute with the initial contract.... so in the end we were told here is what you get , like it or lump it.... we had no choice but to accept their cast-offs and then adidas treated SFC as second class citizens with training wear with the wrong badge colour etc etc and blue stuff..... so Cortese ( partly for the right reasons ) told them to sling their hook. I am sensing that SFC are playing the situation very astutely now.... There are probably lining up a potential replacement supplier for 2016/17 and saying to Adidas " deliver this time properly and we will sign a bigger deal"... I know Puma are strategically well set up to supply Saints and would want the contract so I think as last the kit issue is all in our favour... Cortese did **** up initially , but then Adidas did treat us like mugs so the muck can not all be stuck to him for this years disasterous kit.
  16. what is the problem with templates !? the footy shirts are mainly for kids surely ;-) ... Adidas generic training wear is superb quality and priced well and sells well for most clubs... Nike stuff is also awesome quality regards training apparel... for me templates are fine.... especially when you consider our "bespoke" kit this season was utter garbage with no proper anchor stitching and the training wear all over stretched as the badge was applied leading to scrunching around the badge... shocking quality...
  17. Can not understand why Saints are dragging their heels over the kit contract for next season. Their club shop apparel offerings are dire and shirt sales must be winding down by now ( as they do most seasons about now ) .... surely they can tie up a deal and get it announced quickly to enhance brand-Saints.... I had it on very good jungle drums that Puma were in a position to dig Saints out of a hole for this season but Saints were not interested... so presumably they are in a position to supply next !? Another season of home-kit embarrassment and faulty returns is surely not on the cards... is it ?
  18. Pelle is an overpaid talented footballer like many others.... he shines with the right players around him for 90 minutes and Mane and our new boy are just not intelligent enough to play off him as Tadic does.... So my view is that with a player so rigidly moulded in his own style , its foolish to have him up front with his back to goal so often without key players around him. Why did I mention overpaid ? because Pelle does not have the incentive he had in Holland. He may love the game but a huge financial comfort zone has been placed around him and this effects some players and not others.... I suspect it may effect him. Also in his defence Koeman is starting to show a lack of imagination when it comes to tactics and this coupled with our injury list means Pelle is going to find it difficult. So in answer to the question is the flack justified.... I would say "in some respects".... but there are other influences on his performances for sure that he is not in command of... he is certainly not another Guly... LOL
  19. No it is not against Premier League regulations.
  20. The shirts were not manufactured properly... incorrect seams... different fabric weaves joined without over-seams... sponsor logo not made out of correct polyurethane-type material... The replacements one would assume will just be the same since the company making them clearly has not the manufacturing knowledge required to produce adequate kit... so maybe this will be a merry-go-round all season with kit going back every now and then !? Surely it would be better to secure a mid-season deal with a proper manufacturer and get at the very least the playing kits out earlier than next season.... There is no problem changing your kit mid-season and there are several manufacturers who are flexible enough to be able to do this .... Puma for one. Adidas can not easily do this due to their rigid structure but surely this can be salvaged..... !?
  21. some people saying the weave of the actual fabric is coming apart and many reporting seams that are falling to bits... if you compare the shirt seam stitching with any Adidas/puma/nike shirt you will see why they are having problems... I assume the newer batches have proper over stitching seams as opposed to the loose-loop primark-type seams which are not suitable for that poly fabric type really... this has been on the radio this morning and Saints have acknowledged the problem and said obviously for people to return defective shirts...
  22. That England performance was dire. The swiss played like a conference side and England played like a div1 side. The defending from both sides was a complete joke. Welbad's goals were highlights obviously and I thought he play ok... but the rest were terrible. Yes England will top the group... and yes they will get to Euro 2016 ..... and yes they will embarrass themselves and the nation once more. Utter cr@p and anyone who paid to fly out and watch that is made of curious stuff imo....
  23. Saints have confirmed that the new kit is defective ( as many realised when they first saw it ) and are replacing those that are falling to bits so if you are one of the unlucky ones there will be no problem in getting in replaced, just hope the replacements have been made properly...
  24. and my post was not a dig at the club, they made the best of a situation after Cortese sh@t on them with regards the contract... my point was that those claiming the shirts were as good as branded ones were talking utter bollux... ( is that common on here ? ) ;-)
