  1. We were lucky at times its true, but what those highlights do not reflect is the almost total dominace and numerous missed chances we had after 2nd goal, instead onlyt showing Kelvin save in the last minute of the game.
  2. Here's the link http://www.londonsaints.com/
  3. Heard the sad news about 5PM last night. There were a lot of upset London Saints in pub before the game. Thought that last nights perormance was a fitting tribute to Clydie. Was almost like he was there helping Kelvin out at times in second half to maintain our clean sheet. Bob I hope you enjoyed watching the game from up high last night mate.
  4. Getting up to nearer 3 figures at least 36 London saints on train.
  5. Agree with much you say Phil. On Saturday as I was walking back to the pub, I felt like I'd just been to see someone on their last legs at Hospital. This club is slowly dying, poor performances on the pitch allied to ever plunging attendances is killing this club. I'ts catch 22 people will not come until results improve, but results will not improve unlee we bring in some new players on loan, but we can't bring in any new palyers because the attendances are so low and so we've got no money to pay for anymore players on loan. It's only the drink and social side of things before and after games that curently makes a matchday worthwhile. I just wonder what all the people who are not attending but are happy to complain about everything on this board will do with themselves when we go under. If people continue to desert this club as they are at the moment we have no future. One things for sure, the first people to complain when Adama Lallana is sold in January will be those who've stopped going to games. They don't seem to realise their non attendance is driving us closer and closer to relegation/administration or both. I'm not a Lowe supporter in anyway, but I love this club, and no matter what you think about Lowe, this club is far more important than that man. The club obviously needs to do more to attact the fans back, and some of Phil's ideas, regarding ticket offers above need to be implemented urgently, otherwise our record low home league attendance will continue to fall with every game. But each and every one on this board who's happy to complain about everything, should if possible, get off your ars*s and get down and support the club, they need you financially just as much as vocally, otherwise you'll soon have nothing left to complain about.
  6. Absolutely right, Simon play very well in our early games, but he's now putting too many passes astray, culminating in last night when under no pressure with us palying the ball around the back four with ease he passed straight to an Ipswich player in centre circle; with no Saints player in sight, at the start of the move for their second goal. However he wasn't the only one at fault. For the last 20 mins last night the whole back four seemed incapable maikng a forward pass to anyone in a red and white shirt and if they did the midfield and Mcgoldrick in particular up front did there best to give it straight back to an Ipswich player.
  7. Catch 22 mate if we don't get more bums on seats we will not have the money avaialble to get in decent players in on loan to improve the team, so even more people will desert the club and the level of attendaces and performances will drop even further.
  8. It may indeed be a big ask, but at least in Tomas Pekhart we do appear to have someone who could be more ruthless, one half chance one goal, as opposed to Dyer one clear chance blasted over the bar.
  9. I find it ironic that you are have been one of the main Pro-Lowe people on this board, yet it appears due our current postion you think things need to change, I dare say blamiong it all on the manager. We are playing the way we are with a young team due to Lowe, Poortvliet is trying to do the best he can with the resources or lack of resources he has at his disposal. But he is restricted in what he can do, especially as some players are apparately not playing because their wages are appearance related. However although I'm not a Lowe supporter, I feel we do not need to panic yet, we are playing some of the best football I've seen us play for years, we just need to tighten up the defence a bit and be more ruthless in attack IMO.
  10. Sorry EFM didn't notice you'd repied with same answer already, would like to know who scored goals in 73/74 season though got a feeling that Ossie scored at lease one at the Dell and i'm certain that David Peach scored at Fratton that season and also scored in that 4-0 win too.
  11. Mike Channon scored 4 goals agaist them in 1975/76 season alone. This included a hat trick at home and last minute winner at Fratton days after we won the semi final against Palace, which prompted the start of an almighty scrap at the Milton Lane end of Fratton park. Can't remember who scored the previous season when we beat them 2-1 both home and away
  12. Mick was my first Saints Hero, just hope he's OK
  13. Don't konw how many tickets we've sold although I had to get another 2 for mates yesterday. I think you'll find quite a few on 9.10 train, I'm getting on with 3 others at Salisbury. I would be grateful if those getting on before Salisbury don't sit in our reserved seats please.
  14. Absolutely correct nickh - but that's not what Mr Wilde said he got his facts wrong. It makes wonder how many other errors or inaccuracies there are in his statement ?.
  15. "AS we look forward to the start of a new season, it seems hard to imagine that only three months ago the club was only one Leicester goal away from relegation and possible administration." Get your facts right Mr. Wilde. If Leicester had scored one goal Coventry would have been relegated not Saints !
