  1. I've seen Saints at the following 76 current league grounds 5 current conference grounds 20 old league grounds (Bristol Rovers x 2) 2 old conference grounds (Oxford Utd. and Wimbledon when at Plough Lane) 2 Scottish grounds (pre-season friendlies) 5 european grounds in Uefa Cup 2 european (Major teams) grounds in friendlies 2 national stadiums (Wembley and Millennium Stadium + Scarborough (in the League Cup twice), but they are now way down the non league ladder
  2. Totally agree with your summary of the game, very disappointed to lose but it was a great game to watch and had we taken advantage of the two chances we had with only the goalie to beat at 2-1 and 2-2 I'm sure we would have won.
  3. I havn't seen photo but assume it's Dave a London Saint, who's also fondly known as Uncle Albert or Smudge. Dave is a season ticket holder for the first time this season, but he's been watching Saints for the last 10 yrs and goes to most away games on train with us, and is normally to be seen with the rest of us in Real Ale pubs before the game. We took him over to Hythe on the Ferry before the Yeovil game, the Captain of the boat looked a little concerned, probalbly remembering Uncle Albert (Fools & Horses) bad luck with sinkings and collisions on boats.
  4. And there's me thinking you were called Fastlane because of an incident on the North Circular after the Everton semi Final !
  5. Well done to all the 921 supporters who went, excellent numbers and vocal support by all accounts http://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10361~47608,00.html
  6. I'm well ****ed off as i've got to go to a family wedding, hopefully will be the only game I miss this season (already got Hotel and flight booked up for Hartlepool) Hope everyone who goes has a good time, one bounus for me is a least I've been there twice previously including 6-0 win 1977/78.
  7. I took my lad to his first game when he was 5 (2- 0 win v Liverpool Crouchie scoring for us) Despite subsequent relegations its not put him off and this year, 5 yrs later, he is now a season ticket holder for first time. He takes great pleasure in telling the Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool fans who sometimes give him stick that at least he goes to watch us live, not just on TV.
  8. No sure we won 2-0 in 1980's when Colin Clarke scored twice if I remember correctly
  9. No way, at the moment Kingsland / Northam corner is more vocal than the Itchen North , loads of lads go in this area of the ground now, and also the infustructure for the Kingsland is not set up to cope with segregation. The away fans should stay where they are the Northam is set up to enable easy segregation of various numbers of away fans and if there is likely to be trouble after the game the Car park can easily be closed off without disturbing fans too much. The only other area which can be easily segregated is the old family centre Kingsalnd Cahpel corner but with the current position of police control and cells set up where they are I don't think the police would very keen on any change.
  10. I thought when it was initially announced it was changed to Friday on police advice
  11. This is being organised by our Chairman Mick Strickland who sorts out all our travel. If you look at contacts on London Saints web it will give you his details but you'd need to phone him at home at moment or e-mail him, or email me (I'm ticket co-ordinator) and I'll give you his home email address. http://www.londonsaints.com/moxie/19/lssc-contacts.shtml
  12. One thing to note for anyone going by train is there are no trains from Manchester to Oldham as works commence on a new tramline to serve Oldham and Rochdale. London Saints have already booked up transport from Manchester to Oldham for before and after the game rather than use the replacement buses that are available. see link http://www.gmpte.com/
  13. Think London Saints booked on 9am from Euston get to Manchester 11.10 so hopefully too early for Millwall and West Ham, but might be fun on way back !
  14. Saw him play at Cheltenham pre-season seemed incapable of passing to a teamate and kept mis-timing his challanges and fouling the opposition, all he could do well was hoof the ball aimlessly forward. Maybe it's these atributes that pursuaded Mr Lowe to sign him ! Personally, I can't understand why he's here and how he justifying his wages.
  15. Mick Strickland form London Saints may have one spare cheapish return ticket from Euston to Carlisle going on 9.30 arriving 12.45, return 17.52 Euston 21.47 His contact details are on London Saints website contacts section try him on Home Telephone number, email address is incorrect so don't use that http://www.londonsaints.com/moxie/19/lssc-contacts.shtml
  16. I'm on 77 now, but will be minimum of 81 by end of the season with visits to Hartlepool, Walsall (been to their old ground), Colchester (new ground, aging been to old one ) and MK Dons to look forward to. Especially looking forward to overnight stay for Hartlepool where I think we'll have a good turn out despite it being played on tuesday night, I know of loads of London Saints definately going.

    Violence

The Dirty Leeds fans took Saints come back form 2-0 down to draw 2-2 draw in the first leg at Elland Road badly too, they were vertually line up outside the ground to beat up Saints fans and the Police did nothing, I ebded uo with a thicjk lip that night after getting hit from behind by a less than friendly local and only just made it back to the car in one piece that night.
  18. didn't realise Luton were still in Administration !
  19. I'm sure we'll get 15,000 Saturday And even more for Yeovil as they will bring a couple of thousand with them.
  20. It was difficult to get any atmoshere going in an open end like that but thought those who went did Ok generally Nice to meet Ericofarabia in Crown before the game, yet another great real ale pub. On the game front should have finished the game off well before the end, but no copmplaints about their penalty. However couln't understand at the time and stil cna't after watching online and on TV why Saga's goal was disallowed, two derfenders on far post definately played him onside and you can see in thier faces that they thought goal was Ok, Porr poor decision by a poor official. Trotman and Hammond again played wel and Lambert good in the air and unlucky with header that hit bar. But my man of the match was surprisingly Wayne Thomas who has been poor so far at centre half but was supurb at right back particularly we the way he dealt with crosses to the far post. In summary a better performance and I think we are slowly getting there, and many on here should remember Rome wasn't built in a day, we still have a lot of rebuilding work to do, but i'm confident we will get things right in the end, but too many seem to think this will happen overnight.
  21. The Crown sounds like heaven to me, 16 beers a bit like the Grove at Huddersfield. I wonder if they have a barmaid as good as The Grove though ?
  22. I've also seen this mentioned in last nights programme by Steve Grant not being very good, better to try local Robinson's pub eg The Armoury
  23. First Jacob Mellis was chopped down in clear view of the ref in middle of the box as he was about to shoot, then a cross I think from Harding was handed around the penalty spot, something the linesman if not the referee should have seen.
  24. Tickets now available £25, but only £5 for under 18's http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1760996,00.html
  25. Should thread title be edited as current allocation is either the 4th or 5th depending on reports on here Eg 1. 1235 in Arkell Stand 2. + 500 Stratton Bank 3. + 500 Stratton Bank 4. + 500 Stratton Bank 5. + 250 Stratton Bank (making allocation of either 2,700 or 2,935)
