Let’s play ‘Wheel of Internet Twattery.’ Let’s spin the wheel to see who today’s Internet Twat is… Actually let’s not bother because it always lands on Delldays/Batman/AlexLaw76. 😏

Did you ever burn the toast on the sub? I should imagine a fire onboard a submarine is a pretty serious thing and not to be made fun of? Or did you take the rise out of your colleagues during fire drills?
-
No not here, but I expect that doesn’t make the people who lost their houses or their crops a few weeks ago feel any better. Do you or do you still think it is something to poke fun at? (No need to answer that, we all know the answer). Actually I was wrong, still fires here https://www.kentonline.co.uk/ashford/news/amp/fire-crews-tackle-large-crop-blaze-271896/

Probably no need to worry about things like this if you are in a submarine eh Batman? More so for people living by tinder dry fields.

Of course you can. I am voting against the party who have caused economic hardship for most of the population for over 10 years for starters. We are also tightening our belts and not spending what we used to of our disposable income in places like our local and various cafes. This will, of course, effect many local businesses as their income will fall, but hey ho. That’s capitalism for you. So I have a question for you. What have YOU done about racism and other important issues of the day, other than change your avatar to one poking fun at it?

Perhaps his coaching team advised him to start that way? Leeds ran themselves out and would could have won it at the end thanks to fresh legs and some decent subs. Perhaps Ralph made the final decisions? We don’t know but just to assume that everything Ralph decides is shit is nonsensical.
-
Was he deemed better? Perhaps as was said it was more about not blooding too many new players at once, especially in a tough away game.
-
This week he himself said he isn’t quite fit enough to play 90 minutes yet. Apologies, was reading from back to front and hadn’t seen the other post.
-
It gives them a transfer value and means they are not likely to go for nothing and are still on the books if we need them as back up. Seems sensible to me.

It’s staggering how little reaction we are currently seeing on social media or out in society in general regarding fuel poverty. Take a knee against racism and it kicks off, people with brown skins rape white girls and it kicks off, loose several football matches on the trot and it all kicks off, make a “woke” observation and it kicks off, talk about trans issues and it kicks off, mention the heatwave and it kicks off…you get the drift. Yet we are staring at an absolute disaster for many homes come winter and anyone would think that it is just a fantasy and as soon as we have a new PM it will just go away. One of the usual suspects on here once said “socialism is dangerous” (I am sure we all agree that the NHS and the Welfare State has done nothing but harm to our society). Now we have energy companies making billions of $ of profit for doing nothing and not a mention about capitalism being remotely “dangerous” from those of a right wing disposition. The only person making any kind of sense and showing any kind of concern in politics is Gordon Brown. Our present PM has totally washed his hands of it all. No daily COBRA meetings about what to do so that we are ready to deal with the situation once the summer is over. The two incompetents fighting it out to lead us into the biggest winter of discontent in my lifetime look clueless and are just throwing out red meat in exchange for votes. Maybe no one wants to think about the effects of hypothermia when we are in the middle of a heat wave, but in a few short months time the shit is going to hit the fan big time. If, by some miracle, Corbyn had actually been elected PM you can imagine the kicking the right wing media would be giving him at the moment. Yet here we are, a few months away from people who never thought they would be in a situation like this, having to decide between heating and eating. We are going to struggle this winter. We have already made significant changes to our budgets. My wife recently had a small pay rise which has already been completely wiped out by cost of living rises before it hit her bank balance. Why aren’t the masses kicking off? People can find the energy to boo footballers from taking a stand against racism but don’t seem to give a shit about the millions of people who will struggle through the next winter and whose bank accounts will be emptied. They can’t all be shareholders in energy companies surely? Perhaps it really is just a bad dream?
-
As you know I was referring to the resident WUM who apparently cares so little about it he is still going on about it a year later.
-
So some strange people still have an issue with others making a stand against racism. Perhaps we should just ignore and hope it goes away all by itself?
-
Valery didn’t look too bad in the friendlies, especially now he has bulked up, but it just goes to show the difference between a friendly and an EPL game. Perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad if we didn’t leave our last line so exposed but certainly those three are really not good enough together at this level.
-
It also made sense to give him another contract on the basis of that if we decided against using him as back up at least he then still has a reasonable resale value rather than walking on a free.
-
Perhaps Che hasn’t been putting the effort in training because he wants out? Who knows? It did seem odd that he didn’t get on the pitch on Saturday though under the circumstances so perhaps there is something about him being on the market.
-
Stephens is no way good enough for the EPL. We brought on two players at half time yesterday who made the team worse. If I was a striker I would love to see Stephens name on the team sheet. He may have the various qualities you mention but he really isn’t a very good footballer at this level and for. CB is very poor in the air.

There is a difference to being fit enough to come off the bench and fit enough to start. From what Ralph had been saying he is still building up to match fitness. As for Djnepo, he made our only goal and I didn’t think he played too badly. Spurs are a decent side. We are an average side. I don’t think anyone expected us to get a result today and hopefully, once we have concluded our transfer dealings, I think we will have enough to stay up. Not many pluses today but Lavia looks ok and Aribo will be a good player for us.

I Vow To Thee My Country gets my vote.

Friendly or no friendly, it was a cracking bit of skill and a brilliantly taken goal. We seem to live in a very strange world now where something can’t be appreciated properly just for what it is. Even if he never scores again, those who saw it will remember it along with Boufal’s wonder goal and MLT’s more sublime efforts. For those who say yeah but it was only a friendly, those who play and watch football do so for moments like this. Just enjoy it FFS.

Thanks for thinking of me Batman. I am surprised that you don’t want to go further and ban women’s football (again). After all, they should be home looking after the kids and leaving things like “proper” football to the men shouldn’t they? Is it not possible to follow both teams? Is it not possible to follow the national ladies team but not the club team? I am just curious as to why you feel the need to make a division between the two and also feel the need to be so specifically definitive as to which group should support the men and which should support the women. Does your wife know you write this crap?
-
Christ almighty. The women’s national football team have just won a major tournament and become the best in Europe, something the men’s team have never done, yet some people still feel the need to find things to whinge about. Why not just enjoy the achievement without the nit picking for once? There are people on my face book feeds today who never bother about football and who are loving it. God knows we need something to cheer us up and the Lionesses have given us that. The celebrations were awesome, especially when they crashed the coaches presser at the end. Enjoy the moment FFS. You will have plenty of time to moan about it later.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

What he fails to grasp, along with everyone trying to deflect from the Tory incompetency, is that it isn’t necessarily about getting a decision wrong. The police bring a case to the CPS along with the evidence and request a charging decision. In the first case, is there a case to answer and then what will the charge(s) be. The CPS then, if they agree to prosecute, take if from there. The reviewing lawyer has to make a decision that it is in the public interest to prosecute and if it is, then what are the chances of a successful prosecution. Many cases don’t get to court because no matter how strongly the police believe they have a guilty suspect, the lawyer feels that the evidence received isn’t strong enough to stand up in court. As I said earlier, this was dealt with in another area and I believe that it involved some selected incidents. What people assume is that everything he has subsequently been accused of doing was on the charge sheet and therefore there was a huge amount of evidence against him. Not so. Johnson knew exactly what he was doing when he made those remarks about Starmer being responsible for not charging Savile. He knew that there are plenty of fools out there who would swallow it hook, line and sinker. The fact Weston still repeats it shows how easy it is to con large sections of the public and how they can continue to believe guff even when it has been shown to be guff. I don’t know if this happened in this particular case, but the Reviewing Lawyer often asks the police to go away and come back with various other pieces of evidence (witness statements etc) in order to provide a stronger case and it doesn’t happen. That is not the Reviewing Lawyers fault. There are incidents where cases are pulled at the last minute because either the police don’t provide some evidence that was promised or a witness or witnesses withdraw their statement(s) and the case collapses. None of this has anything to do with the Director of Public Prosecutions and is not the fault of the CPS. If a case does not meet certain criteria regarding its evidential substance, it does not go to court. -

You really are quite stupid aren’t you and it appears that you can’t read and comprehend simple English. I was not a “senior manager” as such, I managed a paralegal team in the Kent area (B2 grade, not that will mean anything to you), many miles away from the team who dealt with the Savile decision. Starmer’s job as DPP had nothing to do with prosecuting people. He managed the CPS. For the last time for stupid people like you, the decision is made by the reviewing lawyer who reports to his boss, an Area Crown Prosecutor who in turns reports to a Chief Crown Prosecutor who is in charge of an area. The DPP does not go around prosecuting (or not prosecuting) people. The decision was made by those whose job it was at the time to look at the case brought by the police. The view was that the evidence provided was not substantial enough to get a conviction (I assume as I had nothing to do with the case, neither did anyone in the Kent area). There are many people who work for the CPS (wow, what a surprise). Would you call of them Walter Mitty? My wife, then girlfriend, got me a job there initially as a temp as I had been out of work for a while and I stayed on and got a permanent job. My wife worked there for 33 years but I guess that is a fantasy too and she is also a Walter Mitty. I stopped reading your posts a while ago as you clearly do not know what you are talking about, not unlike the bloke you follow about. At least he can troll properly. So, you are completely wrong about Starmer and Savile and you are completely wrong about me. Apart from that…😂 -

I was making the point that there is a difference between getting something wrong on a TV quiz show and getting something wrong in your job. I didn’t have to see it to make that point. But again you twist something to suit your own agenda. Classic Ducky. 🦆 -

Oh, I didn’t see it. Yes, that is not great (and would have been correct the other way round 😂)
