  1. It is tragic Batman. And it just seems to be getting worse. How do you sort it out? More stop and search? That just seems to make the situation more tense. and while it might deal with the gangs issue to some extent, it doesnt deal with domestic violence. As for political correctness, the Met are right in saying it is not a crime to place flowers as a mark of respect. They do seem to have taken a stand now though and are saying enough is enough. I dont think it is helpful if they let the funeral cortege pass the pensioners house though. It just seem like an act of defiance and looks to be provocative. The poor old boy who did this will have to live with it for the rest of his life and doesnt need it rubbed in his face like this.
  2. Another 18 year old stabbed to death in London yesterday. Depending on what you read that is 60 deaths this year in London alone. Still, not to worry. None of the killers were apparently wearing headscarves.
  3. That’s the spirit.
  4. Two more people stabbed to death in London at different locations but within 40 minutes of each other.
  5. I can think of a few other Always and suspect you can too
  6. Perhaps you would like to explain this remark with plenty of evidence to support it?
  7. The Sturridge story didnt come from the club. They said they were never interested in him.
  8. Is Socialism still dangerous? Of course the speech should be broadcast and discussed, especially as Powell was wrong.
  9. You weren't the only one. The wrist slitting brigade have all been saying it every season for years. Like a stopped clock you and they were going to be right at some point. It is never unfashionable to run down your club on an internet forum. That is the only reason many people seem to post.
  10. The smart money was not so smart was it? Still, I won't shout at you for "jumping to conclusions" because it is just hardwired into your mindset. Hence your support for the likes of Jacob Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson. Still, I have to hand it to you, you dont let making a fool of yourself deter your from doing it day after day. I suppose the fact that he wasn't wearing a headscarf should have given it away.
  11. So you have never done anything illegal? Never taken drugs? Remind me again how many people Ray Wilkins has killed? A lot of people clearly have a great deal of respect for him, despite his weakness. Speaks volumes for the man. No one is perfect. Perhaps you would be happier if everyone who died had their dirty washing aired in public? No one has brushed his drinking problems under the carpet, but the good he did in his life clearly outweighs the bad. If you can’t see that perhaps you have been smoking too much weed Duckie?
  12. Lottery numbers for this week please? Sorry Dalek, but it is not rocket science that a club of our size is going to go through down periods. There is no stone walled guarantee that a new manager or a new player will always work out. As long as we dont have mega resources we are always going to struggle at some point as all of the other clubs like us do. You can blow your own trumpet all you like, but you have only been stating the obvious.
  13. Priceless, even by your standards. So you are telling a lady who clearly has more experience of the wage gap than you have as a man that she is wrong just because you work with a few women who might disagree and you base your assumptions on all of the women this country's attitude on your workmates? What a patronising post. Nearly as funny as you saying you have a better grasp of the Muslim situation because your wife isn't one!! Since when has feminism been about "man hating and ultimately being unhappy and alone?" What a crass and stupid statement! So women cannot lead happy and fulfilled lives without a man? Did you wife and your female workmates tell you that? Oh, and by the way. The women in your workplace do not earn equal pay. Whilst they are busy working you are spending your days on here looking for people to argue with. Therefore you are being paid the same as them for doing less. Not equal at all. And there clearly are pay gaps as you will have seen if you have been watching any of the reports on tv on the situation recently.
  14. Alcohol addition is now known as an illness and one that he was very open and honest about. Many players from the 60's, 70's and 80's came from a drinking culture. It killed George Best, messed up the likes of Jimmy Greaves, Paul Gascoigne and could well of been responsible for Wilkins' early demise. Yes, drink driving is wrong, but does alcohol dependency make you a bad person or just a flawed individual? I used to drink drive all the time in the 70's and I bet plenty of others here did and still do now. I am thankful that I never became dependent and feel for those that do but dont see why someone should be vilified after their death for having an illness that clearly made their own life more difficult.
  15. And so are yours, so what? Your allegiance to the likes of Boris and Jacob speaks volumes.
  16. So wearing a headscarf gives an indication as to her motivations? Elementary my dear hypo. Women wearing headscarf = Muslim. Muslim = terrorist. Once again you have given yourself away. Perhaps wait until something is confirmed before jumping to a stereotypical conclusion?
  17. 2 more killed in London last night. 52 killed so far this year in the capital alone. Cue another diversity jibe by hypo.
  18. Sorry Badger, hadn't read your post when I responded to MLT.
  19. He got a lot of stick for allegedly playing "sideways football." So much so he was nicknamed "The Crab." He was an early exponent of possession football which upset a lot of people at the time who wanted to see the ball launched into the box at every opportunity. I remember a lot of debates at the time about whether he should be in the England team at the time, so yes, he was underrated by some.
  20. Humans killing other humans. who'd of thought it. Still, nice of you to attempt to make a racist issue out of it. A teenage girl was shot dead in Tottenham on Monday night. In Walthamstow a teenage boy suffered gunshot wounds with another also taken to hospital with stab wounds. This isnt just happening in London, it happening all over the country and has been for ages. It would appear that Batman has only just realised, too busy looking out for crimes attributed to Muslims I guess. Still, it is heartening to see that even he is beginning to realise that you are more likely to be killed by one of your own (and by that I mean a British citizen) than an Islamic terrorist. Okay, the floor is yours now hypo, time to come back with a pathetic jibe about the death of an innocent immigrant.
  21. This. Football clubs are for life, not just for Christmas. If you cant handle the bad times, you dont deserve the good times.
  22. If you use that argument then surely you have to include Lawrie McMenemy? Not only did he continue on from where Ted left off and take us to another level, but he is also the only manager to win us some major silverware. On top of that he manager to sign the former European Footballer of the Year to an unfashionable club. So then - Paine, Bates, McMenemy and a bun fight over the fourth spot but I would give it to MLT, undoubtedly the most gifted player the club has had in my lifetime.
  23. Whoops. My bad. Well done for out pedanting me.
  24. I dont think that all Germans thought that National Socialism was a good thing vH. Clearly though there are those who are drawn to extremes in any walk of life. It seems to me that peaceful, law abiding Muslims do have a problem with extremists within their religion. But now we are getting back into stuff we talked about months ago and I don't wont to get back into the Katie Hopkins/hypo territory again.
  25. Awesome list Duckster. I would probably only disagree with two. Peter Osgood for John Terry and Jimmy Greaves for Hoddle. As good as Hoddle was, Greaves was a goal machine and possibly the best finisher I have seen play. I totally agree with you in that it is so difficult to chose between Channon and Le Tiss. As you say, Le Tiss had more of those wow moments but Channon was more consistent. We were lucky to have both.
