  1. This is for Whelk who is especially concerned over the killing of innocent civilians (depending on their religion of course). https://news.sky.com/story/sudan-war-they-started-killing-people-in-the-streets-13210692 Sickening isn’t it, no matter who the victims are? More background information here. https://amp.theguardian.com/global-development/2024/mar/22/what-caused-the-civil-war-in-sudan-and-how-has-it-become-one-of-the-worlds-worst-humanitarian-crises

    Israel

I don’t know but I am interested to know just how much concern we can show towards the innocent people killed and injustices performed against them in the other parts of the world before you think it is ok for us to post about our concerns about what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank here. If you are so concerned about “Arabs killing blacks” perhaps you would like to start a thread here? No? I thought not. I don’t think that we have a thread here about the level of knife crime in the UK. Do you honestly believe that no ones cares about it? Talking about “self- righteous anti-Semites” how do you feel about self righteous Islamophobes? The UN seems to be full of what you call “self-righteous anti-Semites,” how do you feel about that? Be honest. Your issue is that you hate Muslims and are upset that some people look past their religion and just see ordinary people being killed, mutilated and displaced, just as happened in 7th October. The only good Muslim is a dead Muslim eh Whelk? You have made it perfectly clear here that you are ok with the ordinary citizens in Gaza and the West Bank paying the price for what Hamas did. Your attempt at deflection hasn’t worked (again). Neither does your pathetic attempt to label those who criticise the actions of Netanyahu, his government and the IDF as anti-Semitic. There is absolutely nothing “self-righteous” either about being concerned about a genocide happening before our eyes. Would you have said the same about those posting against the ethnic cleansing during the Balkans conflict? You wanted a reaction. You got one, but all you have managed to do is to show how little you care about one group of humanity (again).

    Israel

This thread is about Israel and the current conflict in Gaza and the West Bank is it not? It is possible to have feelings about a subject without starting a thread about it here. I expect many here are concerned about the level of knife crime in this country too. It doesn’t make it any less of an issue because there isn’t a thread about it here. But then you and Whelk know that don’t you? As for the comment “they hate injustices and innocents being slaughtered,” the word “they” seems to indicate that the writer does not have a problem with injustices and innocents being slaughtered. No surprise given his previous post where he made it clear that everyone in Gaza killed by the IDF are fair game.

    Coronavirus

Another one of those weird people on here who got upset when it was said that Germany was a Christian country back in the 30’s and 40’s? I thought you were smarter than the others. Clearly not. Anyway, back on subject. As for Coronavirus, I had visit to the doc’s surgery to have a Shingles jab a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about when my booster for Covid was due and she said there has been a further increase with the numbers going down with it recently. They think that fewer people bother to test themselves anymore so don’t stay at home, treat it just like a cold or mild flu and end up spreading it further.
  6. 1 hour ago, Wade Garrett said: Carsley can fuck off if he can’t even be bothered to sing the national anthem. If he wins football matches playing attractive, attacking football he could sing Wonderwall instead for all I care.
  7. He was suggesting that you are wasting your time here amongst us inferior beings. Perhaps try a MENSA forum? No one is going to ban you nic, you are far too entertaining. Your “different options” are always worth a chuckle for those of us not bright enough to understand them.
  8. He has problems with powerful women. Even bigger problems with powerful black women. Hopefully she just has to turn up and he will do the rest himself.
  9. It depends who the person is whom they are assuming that they are more intelligent than nic. And you don’t need a degree to be smarter than someone who believes in conspiracy theories. 😉
  10. Patel the first one to bite the dust. Jenrick currently out in front with Badenoch second.
  11. There is a lot of derision at the so called ‘Nanny State.’ but this is where deregulation gets you. Sadly the criminal prosecution will take time because they can’t use the information from the inquiry in the case. Starmer made a strong speech just now and hopefully pressure will be applied on the CJS to bring prosecutions as quickly as possible. They are talking about 18 months to 2 years though.
  12. Not surprising but the report is pretty damning. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/live/2024/sep/04/grenfell-tower-inquiry-report-published-survivors-victims-government-latest-updates https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/04/world/europe/grenfell-tower-fire-inquiry-report-uk.html
  13. The new series of Colin From Accounts started last night. Excellent if you like Aussie humour and paraplegic dogs. Looking forward to the 4th series of Slow Horses. Superb on every level. Just caught up with Sherwood. Didn’t fancy it first time round but binge watched Series 1 and am now up to date with series 2. For those who lived through the Miners strike it is a very well observed drama using that as a backdrop. Very well written and acted. Worth a look. Hard to believe that was 40 years ago.
  14. From what I have heard so far it will be Noel’s High Flying Birds with Liam singing and perhaps Bonehead in the line up too. Did I see that the tickets were now selling for up to 6k on the black market? And we will be talking of OAP’s suffering hypothermia in winter. Crazy.

  16. 14 years of misrule, incompetence and almost criminal levels of negligence by the previous government and not a peep from GM. Starmer has barely had time to change the wallpaper at no 10 and GM is already all over the new government like a cheap suit. It can’t have been easy for him seeing his party get such a well deserved kicking for so long. He must have been desperate to get the opportunity to do some kicking for himself and he certainly wasn’t to do that to Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss or Sunak, so now it is open season for him. It will be fun to see the Gammons’ blood levels rise as we seek closer ties with Europe under a government who govern for the country and not the personal pocket liners who only care about themselves.
  17. This looks to be a well balanced assessment about the economy under both Trump and Biden nic, although Trump won’t agree with it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8xl5vnlzpwo.amp
  18. Good point, and if, as they say, loose lips sink ships, why say anything at all? They could easily just keep the information amongst their WhatsApp group without this silly pantomime. The CoT have looser lips than Katie Price.
  19. The things I read from you are constant criticisms of Biden whilst giving Trump a free pass on his many misdemeanours. You say here that Trump is just as bad whereas in your other posts you talk him up. So which is it? Your friends support him apparently and they are not brainwashed like the rest of us. If he is just as bad why not criticise them too? How come we are brainwashed because we are against Trump but we should listen to them because, apparently, they are not brainwashed? If you are so even handed why don’t you call them out too? You seem pretty selective on your sample bases when it comes to opinions. You also have a strange way of presenting the argument that Biden and Trump are as bad as each other when slagging off Biden and showing support for Trump. Biden and Starmer are not perfect but let’s not pretend that they are just as bad as what came before eh? This is about you and your failed attempt at pretending that you aren’t a Trump fan boy. It has nothing to do with me, so don’t bother with the deflection attempt. I’m guessing you are sweet on Trump because he likes a conspiracy theory too. Am I right? p.s. If I haven’t answered a question it is probably because I haven’t seen it in the first place, ok?
  20. We are all “brainwashed” because we are opposed to Trump but your mates are not “brainwashed” because they support Trump? Tell lie vision? You call out TV for lying but don’t have the same problem about Trump and his very distant relationship with the truth. For someone who says that he doesn’t support Trump, you don’t have to look very far to find posts where you are very clearly supporting Trump.
  21. So you sent a post that supported Trump but you say that you don’t support Trump. Got it. You constantly slag off Biden and you post in support of Trump but in no way do you support Trump. Ok. You repeat the same conspiracy theories that Trump does but you don’t support Trump. There is a patten here is there not?
  22. They seem to agree that Rangers pulled out of the deal. Not sure what the issue is? Is the reason that they pulled out not the signing on fee then?
  23. There have been more sightings of the Loch Ness Monster in the last year than there have been of Stewart.
  24. https://sportsview.co.uk/2024/09/rangers-missed-out-on-loan-move-for-sam-edozie-after-southampton-demanded-1million-fee-on-top-of-his-30000-a-week-wages
  25. Those were the days before bloated squads and the top clubs having the financial clout to hoover up all of the available talent. It’s unthinkable for a players like Ron Davies, Terry Paine and Mick Channon to be playing for a lowly team as we were then nowadays. There were plenty of quality players to be found in the lower regions of the old Division 1.
