I genuinely think that you talk utter bollocks.

Perhaps wait and see what transpires before slagging Starmer off? It isn’t as if the ruling party of 14 years were so effective is it? We need a change of approach and that is what is happening. How it works out we have yet to see.
-
Out of interest, how many times did you get sent off for using foul and abusive language?
-
Just read an interview with O’Riley where he says that the transfer to Brighton took about 2 months to sort out and was frustrating for him that it took so long. It seems like the chances of him signing for us were pretty much zero.
-
That is really weird. I had a dream last night that he got crocked on his debut and was out for the rest of the season. Should have put a few bob on it. Surprised they started him so soon after signing and in a game like this. He must be gutted.

Maybe the reason we are taking so long to buy players is because the recruitment department are sending out pictures of toilets and Adam & Eve when making offers and the other clubs are taking an age to work out who we are interested in 🤔
-
Interesting, but could you post a few cryptic pictures too please?

Arrests made in relation to the stabbing of a woman at the NHC (before you waffle on about two tier policing). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czdpg9rz750o.amp

The thing is these people are apparently merrily Whatsapping themselves 24/7, so why the need for this thread? We know something you don’t know playground mentality/trolling. As for the claim of jealousy, come the point where the transfer window slams shut we are all going to know who we have signed and who we have released without having to look at pictures of a toilet.

I think the whole bedwetting thing is a bit strange though. Most of us think that we will do well to stay up this season. Most of us understand that finding quality PL players on our transfer/wages budget is very difficult, as is keeping PL players when bigger clubs come knocking. If we find some gems and manage to stay up, job’s a good’un, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise or a reason, given the current circumstances, to soil the mattress if that doesn’t happen.

Over 1 million people attended Europe’s biggest street party. If the same numbers attended the FA Cup Final it is highly likely the crime figures would be similar. There are idiots who go to the NHC who are up for trouble just as there are at football matches. People get assaulted and sometimes stabbed at football matches. People get stabbed walking down the street or in schoolrooms. The carnival is not the problem. Football is not a problem. Some of the people who attend these events are the problem. There is a story doing the rounds (don’t know how true it is) that you are safer at the NHC than you are at the Metropolitan Police Christmas party.

Is it not possible to be a realist without wetting the bed? I think we all knew that this season would be tough and that we are likely to struggle, no matter what happens in the transfer market. The window is still open, the new players haven’t bedded in yet and we are only two games in. Plenty of time to wet the bed in the months to come, but it is a bit early now surely?

Only if you know what the picture of a toilet means.

Summer Transfer Window 2024 thread = 12.9k replies, 1.4 million views CoT = 1.4k replies, 93.9k views Which is the more popular thread? 🤔 Perhaps people respond better to names rather than silly riddles? And when the resident attention seeking narcissist feels the need to refer to himself in the third person you know that he knows that he has been shown up for what he is.

I don’t know what “I’m have the scrotes…” means but those arrested in Manchester are going through the Criminal Justice System, so what is your point?

Surely Alvarez was a “Carlos Kickaballs from miles away” when we signed him?

We have had the Carbage Rally stay in the village for the last couple of days. Never heard of it before but people from all over Europe pitch up in bangers that can’t cost more than €500 and are all done up. Hundreds of cars driving around the local villages with very loud and often very annoying horns. My favourite was one covered in fur with huge bunny ears on the roof. They have all left now but apparently will return on Thursday/Friday.There 1000 people from Holland alone so the local camp sites are happy. Why wouldn’t they?

We watched it yesterday and thought it was ok for a bit of entertainment on a wet Saturday afternoon, but one of Scott’s poorer films. Agree about the lack of historical accuracy but then Hollywood never lets that get in the way of making movies (Braveheart etc) and I guess Scott would argue that it is an artistic interpretation rather than a biopic. Glad that I didn’t pay money to see it at the cinema, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.

What’s worrying is that the club, who are desperate for a decent keeper, are so worried about his fitness that they have set up this deal. Why not sign a keeper whose fitness you are confident about from the get go? Yes, it is a failsafe (unless he gets crocked after 21 games) but if they think he it a potential liability, why gamble with him when we desperately need a quality starter?

More targeting of civilians by the IDF. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/08/23/middleeast/israel-gaza-water-shortages-heatwave-crisis-intl

I’m sure whoever they pick will have a decent, proven skill set when it comes to presenting. I am also sure whoever replaces Lineker will divide opinion irrespective of their personality, race, sex etc.
-
But whoever gets it will divide opinion. Some people think that Gary Lineker is very good at the job, some people think he is average and some rubbish. You can guarantee that his replacement will also divide opinion no matter who the person is and how the decision is reached. On the plus side at least we have been spared the very bland Jermaine Jenas.

£30m for EPL quality is peanuts if he is that good. It’s just that we don’t have that kind of money.
