Or we can assume that the CEO has wanted him out for some time and used a minor incident to get his way. AS for tactically clueless - he was tactically aware enough to win us a cup and would have taken us to the play offs without the minus 10 points (which was nothing to do with him). If there was a lack of strenghtening in the summer (funny, I see to remember signing defenders) then why not blame all of the 4 man committee, of which the CEO is apparently a major figure?

Please, get yourself a life mate.

Am I the only one that thinks that this board is full of self important w*nkers? PM me if you think likewise.
-
In answer to the original question. Yes. As for all the other b*ll****, what are these people on? We used to have a load of paranoia about Lowe or his paid agencies inflitrating this place......ask yourself who is this Deppo character.
-
Not a bad idea. At least we made the play offs that year.

There is probably a great deal of dissatisfaction evrywhere in football with players not getting a game. Davis said as much in the Echo. You would be surprised if things didn't get a bit tasty from time to time. This read like the Gunfight at the OK Corall though.
-
Good point. If it kicked off that badly where several people were involved the goss would have spread like wildfire surely?
-
Perhaps with Markus gone....who knows? There are lots of things that just don't add up.
-
I don't know mate, I was just "putting it out there" as there was a suggestion that there was a row about his signing.
-
Perhaps it is a bit of both? Cortese wants rid of Pardew but is backed into a corner and can't sack him. It kicks off a bit at training (anyone remember that footage of Berkovic nearly having his head kicked off by Hartson?) and NC uses that as a reason to sack Pardew. He gets rid of two more to make it look better.
-
So NC approaches AP and says we can buy this Brazilian midfielder and AP says no thanks???
-
You wouldn't interview everyone at Staplewood. After interviewing a few main people you would make up your mind pretty quickly if it was a sacking offence. He was sacked remember? Trust me, if it was a fight things move really quickly. It doesn't take the best part of a month.
-
It has spread quite a lot already.
-
3 weeks? I have been involved in incidents like this are they are dealt with in days not weeks
-
I will support the new manager whoever he may be Alps, but I don't trust the CEO one bit.
-
If the story about Pardew is true, then I agree he should have gone. If it is a smokescreen to show Cortese in a good light then he is not a fit and proper person to be in charge of our club.
-
What if it is not the case? And if so, why wait 3 weeks to sack people?

This

Well, if they were so united against Pardew why did they forget all about it at Bristol?
-
I didn't get the impression that that worked closely togther. If it is true about Guly and the transfer committee then how much of the sqaud was Pardew "allowed" to assemble? As for Vote of Confidence, we all know what that means. And as for undermining, sometimes you can do that without saying a word - like no praise for Pardew whatsoever when we won the cup.
-
I really don't know what to think Nick. I don't believe that Cortese wanted Pardew to stay or fought his corner against Markus..as for the rest, God knows.
-
Come on Nick, I know you are working hard at cutting Cortese some slack but even you must have picked up on the lack of support last season? Why was there all that fuss last season about Pardew being up for the sack? Even when he was forced to come out and give a statement is was less then convincing.
-
So we had Burley as an alchy and Pardew as a major sh*gger -all rumour and conjecture but it gets repeated a few times then it becomes fact.
