agreed, I have never argued that ever, I agree would could find better wide players than both. Least JWP creates chances though as that is the role of a wide attacking player is it not? or does that position just mean u just run at ppl and completely mess every thig else up? but its ok as its the role of a wide attacking player. you tell me, every great wide player has been either a prolific goal scorer or a great creator of goals, never seen any wide man picked just cause they can run past people, its a bonus, but the other two must come first.

1 assist and 0 goals in 6 apps is good? Hoj 2 goals 1 assist, Lemina 1 assist Bertrand 2 assist 1 goal. Ings 3 goals Austin 1 goal. What does Redmond have over all these players? MORE MINS and he is the best player. ok ok ok, I believe you all at last...…………...
-
Poch, Adkins, Koeman all played JWP quite a lot considering the competition with far far greater players and was far far younger too, unless you think Redmond is on level with Mane and co? LOL Redmond would never have seen a min when they was in charge and you know it. And the last few managers have been hugely successful obviously, they are all still employed by us right? but one who I don't think will make end of season on current form unless you think are results have been brilliant? I mean are best display of attacking intent was against burnley, no coicicdance that JWP played that game and Redmond did nothing in that game yeah? Sorry meant Everton, not Burnley
-
we are making the same mistake as last year in trying to make some thing out of Redmond, He played pretty much every single game last season and still did less for the team than a player who hardly played at all. Don't get me wrong as I said, Redmond looks good and can run at ppl, but every thing else about his game is poor and that is why we was the only team to try buy him and why Norwich didn't put up any fight to keep him.
-
Exactly not only did he play less mins, he played HALF the mins of Redmond and out assisted him and out scored him. So far this season Redmond has been better, but only cause he has had FAR more mins than JWP, but can we honestly say JWP has been given a far amount of game time? I mean he was are best attacking player first game of the season and gets dropped when Redmond was the only player to not make a single chance in that game ( against Burnley of all teams ) Seriously Redmond is far better at running JWP far better at every thing else
-
are you seriously suggesting Redmond is a better crosser than JWP? LOL A key pass is a pass that should have ended up in the back of the net weather it be from a pass, through ball, long ball, cross, free kick, corner and also the person who sets up an attack to start with eg putting both Ings and Redmond through on goal from a delightful through ball, ings receives it 15 yards from goal and laying it off to Redmond who misses the target from 6 yards out Also, over the first 5 games, HOJ, Ings and Vest are the best players so far this season, Redmond is no where near the best player this season, you mad?...….
-
I think we should just so he can shut you all up and prove you all wrong, less than 100 mins played, but despite Redmond playing 440 mins MORE he still has more key passes than Redmond.
-
like in his first game creating 5 scoring chances while Redmond created none but gets dropped for next game any way? yep surely a perfectly good reason to try your best when it don't matter any way. But still, I would question why the 2nd smallest player on the pitch was told by the biggest players on are team to mark the biggest player on their team. makes perfect sense. Bad organization from are defence / bad management. JWP should never have been marking him to start with.

What is wrong?, touchy cause your golden boy has more mins than pretty much every wide player in the league yet has less assist and key passes than are Left back and right back and defensive midfielder? yep im out the woodwork. Bad management is just bad management, no manager puts the 2nd smallest player on the pitch to mark the 3rd tallest player on the pitch at a set piece at the end of the game after the team surrendered the game away, even more when the player you have put on has done more key passes In 160 mins than Redmond has managed in 540 mins but cant get on the first team. stats are stats, Redmond passing is as good as my dead nan at talking. just completely none existent. But its ok, cause he can run at ppl and then do nothing, Just like Long, Least Long closes ppl down constantly and annoys ppl as well. Best winger in the league, Nathen Redmond is LOL, yu seen his goals and assist? f ucking amazing...……. LOL
-
He would for us if he got to play. im 100 % sure he would have more than 1 assist to his name to if he had 540 mins of game time so far this season. No wonder he looks royally ****ed atm
-
1 assist ( in cup ) in 6 apps, he is right tearing up the league / Cups. Wow we have a star here with us
-
careful, they all take huge offence to any kind of digs at Henry, sorry Redmond
-
And how do you work that out? I would say HOJ, Ings and Vestergaard are the best players for us. Redmond is just far to wasteful
-
That's pretty much how I feel about 90 % of every signing we have made since we got back in the EPL, only a handful of players I can say I knew before hand that I thought could do a job for us, every player we sign from a lesser league is about at or below that of the standard in the Championship, only a handful of leagues higher standard than the championship and we don't normal sign players from these leagues any way and when we do, we buy bench warmers / players who cant get in the first team. I personally think Sims has more to his game than some first team starters / bench warmers here. Rather a player with Championship EXP than some one from I don't know, Scotland.... I think most teams in the Championship would Give Celtic a good run for there money, the gap between 10th - 20th in the EPL and the top 15 of the Championship are about as good as each other, no one can say we would bounce back up if we got relegated, we wont go down and tear the championship up. we would be lucky to get play offs, so people should think hard about being harsh towards players who play in the championship, Christ Deli Alli never got out of League 1 before he was hailed the new England wonderkid.

The same one they didn't manage to get out of the group stages on? yep, he then went on to be England under 21 toulan champion being voted 2nd best England player of the torny. Ward-Prowse received his first call-up to the England under-21 team from Gareth Southgate in August 2013, for the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification matches against Moldova and Finland.[39] He played for 64 minutes in the first match,[40] and for the full 90 against Finland, in which he had some of England's most clear goal-scoring opportunities.[41] He scored his first under-21 goal on 15 October, scoring a free kick from 20 yards in a 5–0 win against Lithuania.[42] During the 2014 Toulon Tournament, he scored a "stunning" free kick against Brazil during the group stages.[43] This was later voted "Goal of the Tournament"; Ward-Prowse was also voted as one of the best three players in the tournament.[44] In April 2015, Roy Hodgson called Ward-Prowse a "big prospect" and hinted at a possible senior team call-up by saying "he'll be in our thoughts because we like him very much."[45] On 29 May 2016, he captained England under-21s to their first Toulon Tournament victory since 1994, by beating hosts France 2–1.[46] Ward-Prowse was nominated for the Vauxhall England Under-21 Player of the Year award, but eventually lost out to Southampton teammate Nathan Redmond.[47] In June 2017, he captained the under-21s at that year's edition of the European Under-21 Championship where England reached the semi-finals, eventually losing to Germany in a penalty shoot-out.[48] JWP was very very successful for the under 21's

Southgate has said numerous times he wants JWP in the team ( he is a big fan of JWP ), but until he is getting proper game time here he cant be picked, which is understandable seeing as JWP is not at a top 6 club, you don't even need a game if your at a top 6 club let alone consistent game time, but realistically, he wont get back in the England team again while he is at Saints unless he starts getting regular game time. Redmond has no chance of shifting any of England's wide players or central attacking mids out of the team, he is like 7th 8 th probs lower in the pecking order unless every one else gets a seriously injury but then they will still probs go ahead of Redmond., only other 2 ever likely to get a England call up will be JWP or McCarthy.
-
You do know, he ( 1 in bold ) is one of only 4 players to make a key pass so far this season, he has also made more key passes than every other player on the team combined ( 81 mins game time ), including 270 min Redmond who has yet to create one key pass or get a shot on target in 3 games. now don't go all " Redmond runs at ppl though and cause he can run at ppl he is a better creator for the team " rubbish that is normally sprouted out, Attacking players are rated for one thing only, the chances they create and score, and Redmond is bad at both, least JWP can put the ball in places for others to score, as can be seen by his 6 key passes already for us with a big hand in one of only 2 goals scored. Now I know none of them are stars or top players, but with out consistent games and mins, they will never reach their true potential, or get to show it, so loan deals are a must, plus these guys are free and might be worth some money, replacing players costs far more than its worth some times, and potential can be worth a lot if given time to develop. Would love to see Sims given a 5 - 6 games in a row to show what he can after a run of games instead of Redmond and JWP, so we can sell them both, as I think he will be better than both in a few years, by quite a bit too
-
Ppl say Long does nothing but run around like a headless chicken all game, well this is kind of all Redmond does, He also has 0 assists, 0 key passes per game, 0 goals, 0 shots on targets... a mere 7 % cross accuracy in 270 mins game time. Sorry, in your opinion yes maybe. But I don't think he is in my opinion and if he is going to be a key member of the team this season, then we are in for a very very long season indeed with very little goals being scored. Saints best player? OK.
-
yes m8 ofc it is, have you not seen how he has played, are best player he is, so many match defining moments that really stand out, head and shoulders above every one else, hands down.
-
cant argue, but I think Redmond down fall was he created nothing again and for 3 games now In a row, yes he looks a threat with his running but that is as far as it goes as he has no end product.
-
yeah sure, but I don't see what some ones opinion has to do with official statistics though, no source is saying Redmond was are best player, every source I can find says differently, and my opinion was he was not are best player either, in my opinion it was Lemina.
