How's Cácares looking so far this game?
-
One yellow per six games isn't bad. Watford's Holebas already picked up twelve cards this season alone.

Saints Transfers Thread - Deadline Day
Pass the Dutchie replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Not lately, no. Last year there were definitely some games where Cedric looked, let's say 'unfortunate', and Martina had some decent games. This year Cedric seems more consistent. Maybe the European title has boosted his confidence. -

It'd be great to have a stream of this one. -
It's happened too often though, this season. A top quality goalkeeper does save some of those 'unsaveable' shots every now and then. It's about positioning, anticipation, speed. Forster hasn't made a save in a long time that made you think "Wow, that's a GREAT save."

Who Do We Choose To Ship Out This Summer?
Pass the Dutchie replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
I can't imagine Puel letting Pied go, after the season he's had. Likely to go without much of a protest from the club: Isgrove Gazzaniga Martina Reed Gardos Taylor Rodriguez I'd like to see more of Targett, if we don't get a spectecular replacement in. -
While I agree that a more balanced view is required, it seems obvious that he's not having a great season, and according to some statistics (shots on target to goal ratio) he's having the worst. He's #5 on the clean sheets list for the season, but at the same time at #18 for number of saves, so it really depends on what you make count. As long as we're scoring more than conceding, I like a game with lots of goals, but Forster doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence lately. I hope he can step up for the rest of the season.

10th with a game in hand compared to #9 Stoke who are 2 points ahead.
-
Very weak support from the Watford crowd. For most of the game it's been all Saints chants audible on TV.
-
Entertaining game, pretty even, and with a great scoreline for us. Tadic suddenly on fire.
-
Thank **** they didn't give offside for that.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if Cácares comes on at some point. Come on Saints! You can do better than this.

The Guardian has Cácares starting and Isgrove on the bench. I'm looking forward to the official team sheet today. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/mar/03/watford-southampton-match-preview

Goal line technology (did the ball pass the line or not) is immediate, as far as I can tell. The ref's watch will signal if it's a goal or not. At the very least for this, I think it's a good idea. Offside and other issues may take some more looking into.
-
Probably just honestly expressing his feelings of frustration about how he could have gotten away with it, if not for the technology. Which is, of course, exactly why I'd like to see more of it.

If you're not sure how long he can last, better start him and take him off as soon as he can't anymore.
