No , not under any circumstances let them get involved.

Trying to whip up enthusiasm for FA Cup final , good to remember Rodrigues got a winners medal with Saints , Ha Ha Lineker !
-
Thanks Bertie , a good signing despite his poor time at Villa , Saints gave him another chance and he has done well for us overall .
-
Ralph is mixing it up tonight to confuse Palace .

On MOTD Forster looked good , Adams not as bad as depicted on here and even Walcott managed an excellent through ball that was nearly a goal. Both teams missed loads of chances and the Mane goal would have been chalked off if it was one of our attackers holding the defender down for a header.

Why is the match thread topic closed already?

Extended bickering between a few posters got pointless I guess . -
Heysel is all you need to remember about the blazers in charge .

Racist abuse on social media after team loses
East Kent Saint replied to East Kent Saint's topic in The Saints
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/56988616 8 game ban for calling opo a 'stupid polynesian c**t . He's not a racist but it was a racist type thing to say ! Not sure this is the correct answer. -
Over to golf now , Saudis offering millions to top players to fit in a super tournament , PGA threatening life time bans etc .

I see the Glaziers value Man U at £3 Billion and would sell for £4 Billion ! Their dream is to enhance the value to £7 Billion . As they take £millions in dividends each year , even when they make a loss , then I can't see them selling anytime soon . Makes Saints seem cheap although we wouldn't have the same worldwide income if we were bought out.

James Ward-Prowse has been directly involved in 14 goals in the Premier League this season (8 goals, 6 assists), the most by a Southampton midfielder in a single campaign since Dusan Tadic in 2015-16 (19).

If she was he she wouldn't have admitted it and then used it a few times incorrectly (according to Mrs EK}

You forgot to mention our goalscorer .

I thought they said they looked at it and confirmed ref's denying a goal scoring chance decision , so double poor result !

This is true , the headline in the link was ‘Ings injury puts Euro call up in doubt’ .
-
Ings out for rest of season says Ralph , according to BBC sport.

Top super league game on tonight , now we can see what we be missing.
-
Burnley were excellent , Wolves were off the pace , anything they did didn't come off .
-
I think that in the contract there was a financial penalty clause if a club backed out but Perez seems to live in a world of his own due to Real being € billion in debt , which is what this is all about .
-
I enjoyed watching our winning run on free to air TV It was refreshing to watch Saints win several games and actually look forward to the next one . Currently it’s painful .

A game of two halves , again again .... you mean ?

The latest revamp due 2024 does include more money for the big teams plus additional teams possibly from further down the league decided by some formula . This could mean a team finishing 7th being included over a team finishing 5th in the league ! Some countries will still have to go through qualifiying stages as now . Uefa etc have had commitee members from the 12 rebel clubs resign .The new members are from PSG for example so not a change for the better really if a club held at arms length is now helping the decision making . I can't see that the smaller countries/clubs will be any better off or have a fairer chance of progress now the 12 have stepped back . There is said to be a financial penalty in the ESL agreement for teams that leave so Real will be still in ! Today they are saying they will look at the 2024 revamp again to remove increase to top clubs , we shall see.

Ings putting himself in the shop window (as per Mane) with potential suitors ? Great corner by JWP , must have been spurred on by posters on here !

Defending free kicks with a player lying down behind the wall
East Kent Saint replied to jawillwill's topic in The Saints
Ever since Carroll put one under our wall at St Mary’s to grab a late draw foe W Ham ! -
This is the logical conclusion following on from the formation of the Premier league . The blazers lost control of of football when the Prem was formed . The clubs that want to break away have got themselves into a financial bind as they have fought off any regulations designed to limit spending . In Spain Real and Barca had a deal where they got the lions share of TV money showing what power they have . The outcome will be the same as with the FA trying to tame the Prem , these clubs will get some deal to ease their financial worrys to the detriment of the rest of the football clubs at all levels .
