Heard from someone tonight and I have no idea if he knows anything at all. We have targeted many players but our new no selling hard stance is working against us. We wanted some loan options from Chelsea but we lost out as Chelsea would not deal with us because we won't deal with them. Also Manchester City. Then Celtic won't let us do any deals with them because we are not selling VVD where they are after 10%. Seriously the guy who told me this could be right but it does feel strange clubs are reacting like this.

Good point but you do fear Spurs will hold on to theirs while we can't. Lallana, Chambers and Shaw for starters.
-
I'd like to know what was on the end of that?
-
I think Les Reed is in shock on how the prices have inflated this summer. Is he looking in the bargain basement at the moment and seeing Jack Schitt?
-
We can debate VVD as much as we want but the decision lies with one person. If Les Reed thinks he is bad for the morale of the club he will leave for Liverpool no doubt. A statement will come out saying we tried as hard as we could to stop him but action was taken because of the circumstances. Sorry, but I can't trust Les on what is going to happen next as a half a dozen others have left for the same place.

So the squad is off to France next week and VVD will be left to train on his own at Staplewood. Does that mean a fitness coach stays with him to do ball practice or do they say a spare ball will be left on the ****ty pitch and it needs pumping up. Shame he is not docked wages too for lack of respect to his contracted team.
-
It will be Jack Stephens next because it's never going to stop.
-
It's important we make a stand here as the club has so many other players on long term contracts. If VVD gets his way then the contract will mean jack **** for them too.

Nicely put and it saves me writing my thoughts. Just a thought, If Liverpool have not made an offer what right has VVD got to demand a move. ****ing *****.
-
Shall I post a video of him training the last couple of days? Full of **** Tom, sorry.
-
Hoping we can get a top class CB in plus a couple of good first team players and tell VVD he can leave for 75m. This way we won't be overpriced on buying players plus we get rid of a **** that wants out.
-
Clubs like Everton will need to offload players because of a high wage bills. If clubs don't make offers for players then it could mean good loan options for us if they choose to pay half of the wages.
-
Harry Potter @fullof******s - 5m Virgil van Dijk has told Southampton he thinks Liverpool smells of **** and he think Klippity Klop is a fruitcake. Wow, it's so easy to do this BJB.
-
They copy each other. Makes me laugh when they say they will see how he gets on in pre season training. The guy needs to play like a dog then if he wants out.
-
I believe we have not taken a youngster on loan to develop since 2012. I doubt we are going to start now. Probably 1 of 3 things. 1. Could of offered it as part of the Bertrand offer but as an option to buy him. 2. Agent talk to generate interest from any club. 3. Sun make it up as they need to fill some bull**** space.

Would rather pay the extra for Armstrong from Celtic who is an attacking midfielder and someone we could sell on for profit.
-
Problem is if we moan about it people tell us to shut up as the season does not start yet. IMHO I'm beginning to wonder why Tuchel turned us down because he knew he had to sell before buying and it would not surprise me if De Boar turned us down too after saying Palace spend money meaning we don't.

I'm starting to think that 75m for VVD is too cheap after some of the pathetic prices players are being valued at today.
-
Believe this one will be solved very, very soon. I get the impression VVD has a deadline to put it a transfer request otherwise Liverpool will move for another target. I expect Reed would prefer a transfer request so we have the 10m for Celtic covered with the loss of VVD's bonuses
-
I think Armstrong could be coming in as Reed's replacement according to the press. That's the way to improve the squad unlike what we have done the last two years.
-
I've noticed that we loan/sell a player and then we get a like for like purchase. Sam Gallagher replaces Jayrod to complete our squad. Reed has left for Norwich so we will be purchasing his replacement soon. I'm afraid that's us done in the transfer market unless we move on the following: Gardos, Clasie & Gallagher.

Can we finish higher than eighth in the 2017-18 season?

I will save judgement after seeing who we bring into the squad. If we filled our troubled areas and replace the weak ones then it's possible we can push on further up the league. -
And to offer us stability for when VVD goes next year.
