yep we've got loads of choice havent we? Are you not a little concerned that there seems to be no news , considering we got the impression it would happen quickly. We dont have the luxury to be picky Id have thought

steve shouldnt you be working on the master tape of the forum game instread of being on here

I think we both think there is something strange about the timings etc. You point your finger at RL. Interesting as he and Askham and co had a lot to lose that they had in shares still in the club (whilst it is fair to say they did not pay for them, they were still assets), as for outside spectators ???
-
well if you are likely to buy an asset for a fraction of its worth ,then of course that would be little to cost in.Add the fact that it seems it wasnt 500k and probably less it is even a bigger bonus. All great conspiracy theories of course.

Has it been confirmed publicly that Pinnacle did not pay the deposit? I know there has been a few people who were said to have paid it, and as I questioned a few days ago,if Pinnacle couldnt/wouldn't cough up why would Fry have any faith in their bid. To whose end is it that a false/unfunded bid could be given exclusivity? A stalling process that may have well made others disinterested as it seemed their efforts were to no avail and so stop working on the bid.It was seen as a done deal so any work would have been stopped to save wasting more money. It points perhaps to people working to get the club at a snip of a price perhaps. Carpet baggers and chancers. Fry's judgement in taking Pinnacle into exclusivity must be brought into disrepute IMO

Ohhhhhhhh, it must be funny when Tony Blackburn used it or not

If you were his boss and he kept the job running along getting fantastic fees, and in the end selling the company when it had very little left on the bone, i think you would send him to many more. They are a law unto themselves and have quite a lot of power, everything he would do is lawful of course.
-
Yes you were right,as long as both bids dont pull out today, even if the did i doubt it would happen then as apparently there are back up bids on the table of low amounts.

I just thought Id add a punchline, and i didnt start it off, it probably will be something different,

I dont put people on ignore as they all have ap art to play. This RL thing returning is nonsense. At least at board level. He may well see us as a wonderful bargain and perhaps get a group together that would save us at the end of the day.If he came as part of a group and not involved at boardroom level would that make it easier. You have to remember that no board has done us any good in recent history (I myself have never been happy with any of them for 40years) I want the club saved and if it means RL being in the background I would stomach that.If he came back as part of the board then I would like yourself question my support.
-
I think he is agreeing with both of us. As there are prospective owners he will give the club more time. It will not be open ended though Im sure you will agree as well.

the evening game v Newcastle. 1-0 down with about 5 minutes to go.Looked like it was our lot and we'd go down. The announcer came over the tannoy would the Archers please sit daown. That sent a wave of disobedience around and the Archers and ground just lifted. The atmosphere just changed and the Newcastle players froze and we went on and won 3-1. I remember my brother getting up to walk out as he did we equalised and his immortal words 'too little too late' lol. The London teams coming down in the late 60's -early 70's it was exciting just waiting to see the punch ups. It is impossible to discribe unless you were there. Just a row of policemen between the 2 sets of fans nd then it would go off.Wrong but it has great memories.

the difference is that there is not a lifesaving drug for your cat, where there is for a football club.

Have you factored in Frys charges that have to be paid, the player bonusses and HMRC his commissions out of player sales and if the payments are up front? Yes we have cashed in some assets and so may have given us more breathing space. Add to that if there is interest then he could rightly not wind us up.I think also we have to put up a bond to insure that we can fulfill our fixtures with the league.
-
Not what i want but sadly he has the opportunity to do so if he requires. If he did I odubt that we'd know or he would have any role in the boardroom. He knows it would be counterproductive.I add i dont believe he would come back.

I dont get Harry Hill. I prefer Han**** some of Monty Python, Bob Newhart, Young Ones, Bob Monkhouse (not his tv stuff) Roy Chubby Brown, Jimmy Jones, Gervais, Lee Mack, Alan Carr, Peter Kay, Paul Kay Rik Mayalls Alan B'stard, Alan Partridge. Im surprised nobody has mentioned Lenny Henry the worsts unfunniest man but as he's black he gets loads of contracts from the BBC

Im glad you are in Phils team, pervert

it was reported somewhere last week that Fry would wind the club up friday. It may have been on South Today. The selling of some players will mean Fry has funds to pay his fees and so carry on then.
-
well Pompey allegedly are negotiating to buy into Quay radio and so they see sense in filling the local airwaves with their stuff.
