It is the first takeover that i can recall where nobody knew who was behind it.If it was Pompey we'd be saying 'dodgy', it is the fact that MLT is there than has made us feel more secure of it. MJ is almost certainly all talk but as i say if the other bids fail we have to hope he has got it right this time.

A piece of magic by a keeper changes games. prior is never likely to do that and he is hardly a consistant bat and not international standard IMO. Foster may not be a great bat but say he scores 15 runs against a 30-40 that prior gets so a negative of perhaps 15-25 an innings (an inexact science of course) but snaffles up Ponting then he is well in credit. To play Prior is the same stupid English thinking that had Geoff Thomas picked ahead of MLT all those years ago.
