A frigging lost cat is ahead of the bit on Saints. Obviously a big story
-
dont be so ridiculous, TL would know if he is serious or not. If he is not it would make no difference and the takeover has not been stopped by a few quotes it is the FL and them not signing unless there are no points penalty
-
nothing on the build up mentioning it by Sallyt Taylor just a bit about yachts women

'We will be buying the club make no mistake about this.' Well put the pen to paper as was stated in your post today. Sorry to sound tetchy but this is getting close to the end. There is £1m to be found on thursday for wages etc we cant mess around. I accept the FL know this but if we have no club there is nothing to fight -10 about.Unless they can get a court injunction to stop the league started we have no choice.

are you for real or is it administration fatigue WSS

Email campaign to expose what the slithery snake Mawhinney has done
OldNick replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
No just bored and sick of this administration stuff. I had believed that 1 wa or other we would have known our future by now. We have to have someone in place by thursdays wage day. -
sounds like one of Ruperts cohorts

Who has Prior got the runs against? Were they match winning games or when we were knocvking up 500 + against the Windies or Bangladesh? I do recall him having the worst set of wickie figures ever in test history and missing some big catches and stumpings. If he is good enough to bat put him in for that but to risk having a half baked wicket keeper in seems as bad as playing an out of form all rounder

I expect that the e-mails went straight into the recycle bin by an works experience kid. They are now waiting to be delected along with all the viagara and penis enlargement spam emails. -
it was probably the governor to the bank of england again

and legroom in the directors box.

Picking Prior over a specialist wickie is sending the message that our batters are not good enough. I go back to my belief that Foster showed in his stumpings against Idia and West Indies from nothing could win games. That is as effective or even more effective than a hit and miss wickie batsman.

in principle you may be right, to punish us last season and it to move to this season if it didnt relagate us is downright wrong. It is unjust. They should have given us the penalty last season and be done with it.To hold it over if we were relegated (something that basically cost us as with the best will in the world the squad were down) is what I feel is wrong

Update from Tony Lynam 1:45pm Monday 22/06/09
OldNick replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
One thing that is something somebody can clear up, does this statement of not asking for the -10 to be waived tie up with MLTs Sky interview? I cant find Matts bit but I thought the -10 was mentioned.I might be and hope iam wrong. -
I take that all on board.I still wonder that to get to where he is in a bid would not cost him personally less than a 5 figure sum. That is alot of money to just serve his ego. As for saying no comment, I expect when he was asked he was unaware of the FL problem for Pinnacle and so the quote was taken hours/day before it became a political issue. My friend I know from his previous deal, is not impressed by him as he strung them along for a couple of months. Why the money did not appear only MJ really knows, was he let down or was it all in his mind?? I know what most feel the answer to that is
-
thanks for that, still no clearer when we will have the srtress end, but at least we are bing kept informed.
-
will you say the same of MLT/TL if they fail? If MLT was not fronting Pinnalce (and I have every faith in him) I suggest that bid would be looking a bit odd. It is the first takeover that i can recall where nobody knew who was behind it.If it was Pompey we'd be saying 'dodgy', it is the fact that MLT is there than has made us feel more secure of it. MJ is almost certainly all talk but as i say if the other bids fail we have to hope he has got it right this time.
-
that is why the club is a bargain investment and so i cant see why there is not more interest. If we got pormoted the investment will get better. Pinacle are hoping for the golden goose and a big crop of eggs in its first batch IMO We should make the play offs even with a minus 10, if the squad is strengthened in the right areas.
-
your eyesight playing up again MB? I always run to the car to avoid the traffic. I think the person who I spoke with was quite perturbed that there was nothing coming out. In some ways it should be quiet as nothing will happen until the league make their decision.Unless a rival consortuium just pays up and signs immediately no questions asked. That is obviously highly unlikely
-
the nonsense of playing a batsman wickie does my head in. A piece of magic by a keeper changes games. prior is never likely to do that and he is hardly a consistant bat and not international standard IMO. Foster may not be a great bat but say he scores 15 runs against a 30-40 that prior gets so a negative of perhaps 15-25 an innings (an inexact science of course) but snaffles up Ponting then he is well in credit. To play Prior is the same stupid English thinking that had Geoff Thomas picked ahead of MLT all those years ago.

well there is no news running down the corridors of the club at present.
