I read in sundays papers the bestest fans in the world, the Geordies have not been renewing their tickets and are expecting a big crowd drop. Oh how I smiled after remembering how all the commentators wax lyrical about how great they are.

coming back into Heathrow from NY on a airbus on sunday morning we got hit by lightning as we made our appraoch. I thought of this bloody thread just after it happened, Lol
-
what have we got left that does us proud? Best hooligans? although Leeds and Millwall get that. Best keeper (at present anyway)
-
no we've lost the groundsman who got the awards, and Ruperts catering has gone to the dogs
-
we might edge it next year but brighton will win it the following season, so we need to get out of this league if we want any glamour of the awards of besttest stadium
-
Win the first 10 matches at home . Lol mike I know I'm a eccentric but you have just joined me.

I couldnt get the pictures of all the fans up. I read the Police officers post on the Echo site and though he is correct in some ways it seems to me he is trying to cover his mistakes and so wanting to make arrests for evets that were caused by his and the clubs negligence. At half time it should have been announced that the players would come out and do a walk around the pitch. As others pointed out the fans just moved around to the kingsland and stewards were trying to alert the police who did nothing. Ps Im not condoning the idiots who went on the pitch. They were moronic and as for those swinging on the goal!!
-
we cant even win that one
-
You dont have to be long if you have 15 stone to ram it home with

i miss the calls from LA its great to hear the weather forecast from over there , when the rain is peeing down here and Im driving home after another defeat.I also miss the 'if only we had 5 or 6 players like you Jimmy'

MB you should be on the Samaritans phone line, they'd be queueing up to get it over with My friend committed suicide at pepperbox hill nr Salisbury, over his wife leaving him
-
I didnt say he was invovled in the consortium, but he did spend time and money (he put that elsewhere on here) helping with the bid and also giving them expert advice through his contacts
-
If Pompey get bought then probably the only teams safe from financial problems are mancity Pompey Chelsea and Villa.Of course if the owners lose interest there might be a probelm.
-
Thats your opinion WSS. I do hope we never have to rely on any other option than Pinnacle to find out the e3xact truth of MJ's bid. it is unfortunate it has been called the MJ consortium, perhaps if the other names behind it from day 1 were allowed to come out then perhaps it may have been better.None of us will ever know for sure the whole truth about all things that have gone on. One thing is definate both Phil and MJ have put in a darn site more into trying to save the club than most of the people on here.
-
If you had paid out what Phil has out of his own pocket and add his precious time to try and help the club, you may well have a different view.
-
to be fair we have also seen him in the press. His radio interview after we went into admin was poor and adds ammunition to our -10 penalty. So it is not all from the Echo etc.

yep, just back from NY.Had a great time. Grand central station was the highlight, you cannot believe that a train station could be so impressive. The low light being we went to see a show on broadway and left halfway through ($268 for 4 tickets at half price!!!!!!) Mary Poppins having Burt a frigging Aussie trying to play the part with a Ameri/****ney accent it drove us crazy. the locals lapped it up though. My daughters told me he was in Hollyoakes in the City and was crap in that as well.had a lightning strike on the Airbus on the way down to land at heathrow (immediate thoughts of Air france as it happened). The oise it made was like a skip being dropped.

I lost that ages ago LetsB. Will you goto the next forum match , if we get one? -
we have to face up to the fact that if the billionaire buys Pompey they will get their stadium that will be state of the art and the funds to make them very successful. The only thing barring the way will be the fact that top players who really want to win things will not go there.Being paid 200k instead of 150k a week wont make a difference to players who want to win things and so i doubt they will get real superstars. Good luck to them I wish we had that stroke of fortune, although i will not envy them for the price of admission. Setanda if it goes belly up there will be a much reduced tv deal in a few years time and so that will effect the PL.Although Pompey having the funds will not effect them as it will others. Scarily enough the only teams who will be safe financially in the next 10 years are Pompey Man city Villa and Chelsea. Even Man u and Liverpool look dicey with thier borrowings.

Of the past protagonists he is perhaps the least offensive to be there. If he keeps out of things and has lost his desire to be chairman and mix up with politics then fine. To have a new beginning then I would have expected to see none of the past directors being included. If the directors box is filled with the same old faces next season that will start the divisions again.

been in NY last few days and was on a ferry going across to look at the Statue of Liberty and saw a football bobbing in the water. After a lot of exertion I managed to fish it out. It had Forum match practice ball propertyof SFC scrawled across it. So Baj and Foxy we found 1 of the balls that went out of the stadium in the pre match shooting practice -

concocting another fiendish plan for the next forum game i assume.
-
I missed that in the Echo but had been told that might happen. It was foolish if he did as any opponents would have been notified of that..perhaps he was part of the plan by Fry to lift the price afterall!
