CS I hate to cut you down there but neither MC or KK were in the teams in those 2 seasons glory

Hypo, we were on a crest of a wave of renewed optimism and a clean sweep. I had naively hoped that all the past perprtrators are to be gone. MLT is the star that burns brightly lets hope he can keep LC under control.LC has the brownie points in the money he put in of course but I hope he learns to keep a very low profile. I mention LM as he is close to LC and may be shipped in for his football contacts.

whilst i join with the excitement I think we should worry about the deal going through first. Im a little perturbed by some of the comments by people who are said to be closer to the deal than most.If Doggface's info is correct then we should be a little concerned. I think we are getting close to the next wages being paid and also at this time of year Loyalty bonusses etc are due to be paid to the playing staff. that would be quite a wedge.
-
I assume the 3 are LC MLT and LM. The new dawn is the same as the last dawn except one ray of sunshine

Well it is quite easy, they have come up with an idea and so by actually putting it up for consultation they would be in favour. If the idea was to shoot the unemployed would they say 'oh lets put that up for consultation' No they wouldn't give it a second thought. It is just another thing to take peoples minds away from the main point that was to Tax by stealth people with landlines.

that was when he was playing for Fulham and sent off for caling the ref a c###

I have faith in your integrity and so read what you say with interest.the tone or wording can be important.Afterall you seem to know as much about the takeover if not more than anybody on here.
-
That is much more reassuring. Thanks. I assume you hear much from the people involved and may hear before the rest of us
-
Well he came on and announced the good news. Therefore we see him as someone who can allay any rumour. It cant be both ways. We have secrecy and that in itself breeds rumour and fear/worry. That leads to people making stuff up that needs to be quoshed as quickly as possible. The Farmer has that power, his reply so far does not assure me 100%

I would nt go for consultation Id get it sorted before publishing it.Why not put every decision to consultation if that is the way of government nowadays, lets have a referendum on it, of course that doesnt happen if there is the slightest chance they might get the decision go against them.Or just have a public enquiry behind closed doors much better, so they can have a good old cover up
-
'well that beggars belief if it goes ahead.' my wording in my initial post about the money going to media companies. If it goes ahead. Yes more quangos for civil servants to waste more money, we are a nation of consultors. Of course you will be all for that
-
That may be the case WSS, but if he has and hasn't quelled the rumour? That is what causes concern.
-
The Farmer is sound, I think you can withdraw from criticism of him NC. i just believe if he was online and it is not something for people to worry about he'd come on and say so. Afterall he has done so in the past. WSS thinks he doesnt need to, that is fine but a post just to say it is not true would have been sufficient

who the Liberals or you??? And the difference between bombing civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan is?
-
So you are saying it is correct to pay commercial broadcasters money to make news bulletins! I dont get handouts to help run my business in these hard times and so why should media companies. They sink or swim
-
yes the liberals were, but they wouldnt fight a war anyway. That is your perogative. The information that was wrongly put forward made it clear that there was a threat. The tories or whoever who backed it on the information given by the PM were correct IMO. In hindsight no it was wrong.
-
Well i would have thought he could easily tell us 'that is a nonsense rumour'. i fully expect him to come back and say that if not??
-
Let's hope so. I hope that anyone else interested have kept their people on the job, but giving exclusivity does make the others think that they need not waste any more money.

Dubai Phils i will accept you falling asleep, in fact the next one comes with a free razor blade to use when you try and get through it. Mine was reviewed on the Readers Digest , 'read of the month section'. I quote ' a brilliant bit of written mastery' The Times 'Only 1 tit' The Sun, 'interesting read while having a dump' The Guardian 'Uninteresting read while having a dump' The Independant 'Best piece of literature since Lord of the Rings' Totton Times.

When i typed that it seemed wrong, but that is often the way Lol. Alesha Dixon, i must go and have a cold shower.

i have terrible images in my mind of when PNE have a 3rd round cup tie and you see Tom Finney in his dotage in the stands, but in the future it is MLT hoping that the good days are on their way back 30-40 years later.

Isnt there a disaster or road crash that you could go and watch instead of depressing us some more GK?
-
[quote=bridge too far;331644 Normally people of your persuasion knock the BBC for the quasi-monopoly it is supposed to have on news (and for its perceived left wing stance). If you have sky there are so many different news channels to get differing perspectives on things.

Nice side step of the 'stealth tax'. Consult, another quango set up to cost us tax payers money. Tell me why we need more local news? I may as well set up a local news channel and get my wedge. If you watch south today or meridian the news is normally on the same lines. Normally you have features about Mr Serial Claimant complaining that they have not been treated well enough by some poor nurse, or fallen off their bike due to potholes nothing to do with being drunk, why have they not got a 42in tv as the the 36in one we paid for is not big enough, Im sure you get my drift.. To be fair now and again there are truly some good causes thumpeted on the programmes but they are too similar. We dont need a second local news programme , there are so many avenues to watch it now.
