  1. You are probably right and lets just hope we never need to find out for sure. Iam still of the belief that there was more to the group than just his bluff.Again I say just how much does it cost to play his game?
  2. doesnt make him blameless though Alps and perhaps was the biggest after relegation.
  3. I understand that MrG but if we do need him , we will be praying that he isnt all talk.Surely if the fans have faith that Fry thinks it was worth talking to him that he must have something more than just talk.I do hope so if all else fails. Not that it will but it is good to have plenty of bakup if all else fails. I also believe it is an expensive way to get your picture in the papers, if he is all bluff he would be into his fantasy by at leat 10k
  4. I recall when I was just 9 or 10 and going to the dell car park hoping to get some players autographs of any saints player.Pat Earles or Dennis Hollywood would be as great a catch as Big Ron or Mick Channon. Id cut out pictures of the players from the Echo and then wait in excitement who would sign them.I didnt care when I got home with my brother and dad was there who was then was cutting about their abilities. That didnt effect my worship and admiration.I suspect your youngster will hold the memories of the crowds the excitement and even unwrapping his Yorkie or Kitkat and the result willbe dimmed with the youthful anticipation that 'next time dad they will win.'
  5. MrG I think you should perhaps wait for the deal to be fully signed before having a go at MJ. If you read it he says he will make contact gain with Fry if Pinnacle fails. Now whilst i understand your reservations IF and it is unlikely would we be a bit stupid to then be in a position to say we dont want his consortium to buy.We now know a bit mote of his backers.
  6. well it was a bloody big misjudgement. It cost him millions so he was punished.
  7. If he hadnt have backed MW originally he would not had to. He fell for it and we are now where we are. Anyway lets try and forget the wounds of then and get back to supporting the club
  8. Perhaps but only on the margins. He does deserve more credit than the others but he was part of the big problem although I do think he did it in the best intentions
  9. a friend whose sons were performing all spurs fans wanted to perform to try and save the club.He said to me 'how can the people of southampton let this die?' i shook my head and was embarrassed to tell him that we were apathetic and perhaps complacent somebody would step in. It was sad to see so few turn out when people who had organised and performed put so much effort into it. At least I met a few faces on here... GKTurner for the first time and remeeting some of the stars from my side in the forum match.
  10. Living in Austria has made you a bit of a Fascist Alps...'you will obey my commands and shut the f### up' not following orders are you? LC your leader did some good things for us and does care but he isnt whiter than white in our fall. I want us to have a completely new start under fresh people with none of the past there to divide.
  11. souinds like Pahars, kissed the badge when he scored did very little else apart from score, Jimmy Greaves and Linaker did little except score. Now DMG is not one of them at present but do not believe those 2 were prolific in their early days. Unless we get 2m we will be shortchanged, even then we would only get back in 1.5 m of which only a proportion would be free to spend and you wont get much for that.
  12. I find people laugh whereever I go Ginge........ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  13. It would be convienient if it was brushed under the carpet, no I'm arranging a march on the Hampshire FA to get a public enquiry appalling episode. Yes I was tapping you up but you scorned my advances, and that is unforgivable I will have to get someone else to organise my kit
  14. twotimer, i thought you only had eyes for me
  15. I always just think of all the thousands of retired pilots still walking around. Then I watch all the planes going up and landing and that makes me feel better as I pick up the newspaper and read pilot arrested for being drunk on duty
  16. Surely not older!
  17. the only cream your team had was when the ref took it in turns with you post match.
  18. You'd have been about 18 at the time then
  19. thanks for that, it would be the last thing that went through my head apart from the seat in front of me of course.
  20. I was always stuck between a rock and hardplace. RL was in my eyes not satan but not god either and so I looked at it differently form people who thought nothing would be good unless he was gone.
  21. I dont know who yo will stalk while im away for a few days Ginge
  22. That is how i see it. That is perhaps why i get so pent up about our club, I xcan't see it being anything different than that.
  23. I suspect the security will be stepped up big time you dont get many airliners fall out of the air over the atlantic.I think it is the first time since Lockerbie (I know that was not over the atlantic)
