Pedg, I see your point, but Shearer has a fire and I believe he is not one to take lightly.He is now used to the media and after a game might not be so laid back when talking to the press.He is oiin the comfort zone and can be relaxed but put a win on it and he changes.

Dont forget the last 2 seasons had the ridiculous early bird s/ts which encouraged many people to buy s/t's but at a low price.The problem being they have a terrible job raising those prices without uproar. The early birders are many of us fans who would pay through the nose and so a major part of the clubs finance is lost. I of course am delighted to have a cheaper football ticket, but in a hard nosed business way we are the ones who normally are milked of money.

Pedg, most of what you say I agree with, but the Shearer thing is intriging. We might have missed the boat with him now anyway as he has commitments with the BEEB. as for him being a disaster Im not so sure. Shearer would put us back into the forefront of the media, something fans miss from the PL. He is a winner and like Keane has a steely resolve to win. If we do have money to spend , if a players agent is called and is told Jp is on the line, they might tell him to call back later wheras is Shearer is there he would have instant respect. UM you know what Im going to say to you about that statement.You and others ran headlong into the arms of the Wilde bunch, much to the despair of fans like myself.Caution was advised but it was 'it can't be worse than under RL.' For some it may have been better but now the chickens are coming home to roost and a takeover with someone taking away the debts would be better than losing 10 points. Reading between the lines and hearing a couple of things said that were from people who really know the situation from the new group, the position is perilous. Beggars cannot be chosers and we need the new people to move IMO, quickly. The bank have given us a little slack but they are cold nosed and if they see a bottomless pit they will act. Our little dabble on the roulette wheel was 2 seasons ago, with a reckless bet that failed, the banker still requires paying.

I dont think we have a choice if it is good or bad, the club is in dire financial straits and we cannot pick and choose. The difficult decisions were put off and now we are looking down the barrel of a gun.

Ill be glad when you join us again, your stand will not help the club when we really not need it ,but lets hope it is soon.

I support SFC, i spend my money at SFC so I can help in my little way to help it survive financially.I can also feel justified to complain if the money is not spent in the right areas etc etc. You may go and spend money to help other clubs survive and compete stronger against the team you follow. Your position may be just in your mind but in the real world you are making the opposition stronger and our club weaker.That is why I have contempt or lack of respect for your stand. SFC needs all the help it can get, and people like yourself should try and think beyond the predudice. to be fair the money is important.The support is also vital but if those fans heads are so full of dislike for the chairman they are hardly going to help the grouds atmosphere in support of the team.

Hac we have already had reasons for and against the stay away fans. IMO it is a nonsense, and the club will not miss fans who think they are making a stand. The club dont know they are staying away they would only assume it was for 1 of many reasons.1 thing is fairly certain IMO that if we got back up with RL in charge their principles might well change and go again. To go only to away games and feed our rivals is a nonsense, they may as well buy in their club shops as well as an act of principle. When the Wilde bunch took over it was against my wishes, but I got on with it as I want to support our club,RL has come back for selfish reasons no doubt, but he at present is our the only person who the club can afford to try and get us out of this financial mess. If the new lot do turn up then great but in the meantime if you and others starve the club of income you will be able to support us at all the L1 and L2 clubs in the very near future.

I understand the drivers being upset, but it is true about the drivers not turning up looking professional. The more professional they look the better the tip is likely to be, as the passenger would most likely look and think,'well he'll be happy with a £1, as he's used to little.' Wheras the well dressed would be more likely to expect a better tip.

that depends of course if the banks are getting twitchy or not (not HR ) investment has to come or we may be loking down the barrel of the gun sooner than expected.We cannot keep taking massive losses.The banks can call in loans at any time and I expect RL etc knows the enormity of the task now they have seen the books. So whilst I agree that is it fun at the moment, a takeover financially may be needed.

Last season we didnt have the movement to set the play up straight away. His first priority is to make sure our defence is organised before launching the ball, because if it came straight back and the oppo scored who'd get the blame? There again he gets the blame whatever.
