I go to a few games here and there but the snobbery of people thinking they know about what happens because they went is funny because you'll have a better idea of how we played from watching it on TV as you'll have the benefits of replays for key decisions and a better view of the whole pitch, so people that watch online are probably the best opinions to listen to on how we played.

Looking at this diamond, we are playing a lot of long passes to the front either from midfield or crosses. Austin wants to run in behind and Redmond wants it to feet. We have nobody that can take the ball out of the air or hold it up a bit. Pelle would've been good in this system as well. People saying we can play the diamond like Liverpool need to look at what liverpool had. They had a fit Sturridge and Suarez. Suarez was one of the best players in the world and dropped deep to pick up the ball, beat a couple of players then either smashed it in the net or set up Sturridge. We don't have anything like that and we aren't playing in that manner anyway. Just my opinion though. Others may see it different to me.

Austins timing was good. Irritating that so many people are giving him stick for being offside. The amount of times he made a run, only to not be seen in time, forcing him to check his run then still not being seen in time was really annoying. Had the midfield and redmond/Tadic looked up and played the through ball straight away we would've had a couple of goals yesterday.

Have you seen much of Bas Dost? He'd be an excellent signing for someone like us and he'd fit our system well imo.

There's absolutely no doubts that we need a proper DM at the base of the diamond. If it's a 4231 then our midfield is ok as you'd have a pair to cover for each other if needed but Romeu on his own just isn't working. I'd say a striker as well but tbh I personally think Austin will come good. His movement and runs yesterday were very good. This is based on us getting Boufal though. I'd go something like this; 4231; Austin Tadic Boufal Redmond Hojbjerg New DM Betrand VVD Fonte Cedric Forster Obviously the front three are fluid and can interchange when needed. 41212; Austin Long Boufal Hojbjerg -------- Davis New DM Bertrand VVD Fonte Cedric Forster

Targett wasn't terrible but he didn't get forward enough and when he did he was caught up-field. Bertrand will be a massive bonus for the next game.

That is absolute crap mate. Watch the game. We are playing very differently to how we did under poch and the new formation isn't working. I'll agree that we need some more quality but the formation is holding us back atm.

Ok, I've calmed down a bit now. haha We definitely deserved a draw. Their keeper made some really decent saves but i'd still change this formation. You can really see from the players body language on the pitch that they aren't enjoying it at all.

We haven't got the midfield for this formation. I think it will look much better when Bertrand returns as the fullbacks really need to be wing backs and Targett gets exposed too much. We looked fine down Cedric's side but were taken apart down the other. We also need a DM who can dominate like Wanyama or one that can recover the ball quickly like Morgan. Austin will be fine. He made some excellent runs today but our midfield were to busy ****ing about with the ball to play it when he wanted it, so he was caught offside all the time. I still think we need to change to a 4231. Cedric looks a real talent in this formation, but not Targett imo.

Honestly, this is ****ing terrible from us. The diamond isn't working at all. We have no midfield, we are being walked through by Sunderland ffs, Watford walked through our midfield and Utd dominated us. Go back to a 4231 or 433 ffs.

Linate is closer to the city centre. Malpensa is about 50km away. We are flying into Linate but back from Malpensa.

I didn't want him to be captain either if i'm honest. We had bigger leaders on the pitch than him at the time. I'd rather Jose or Rickie had it. People need to forget about him tbh. I will never forgive him for the way he left. Leaving wasn't the problem, it was the manner he went about it that was disrespectful to the club and everyone affiliated with it BUT he's gone and do you know what? I think deep down he regrets the way he left. I'll never boo a player, any player. I think it's childish. He'll never be welcome back here and that's fair enough but we really should just move on from him now......
