  1. Don't forget that although we can sign up to 4 oversea's players for T20 we can only play a maximum of 2 in any one match.
  2. No. USA would not be flying in similar circumstances.
  3. OK, thanks for responding
  4. I will introduce you to him if you identify yourself on Tuesday at the game. David says he does not know who you are but Henri keeps smiling when I mention you as a poster. He knows but won't say.
  5. I would definately play Lambert with Hammond in midfield with Puncheon & Lallana providing width. Connolly and Barnard up front with Antonio and Waigo on the bench to freshen up. Lamberts distribution and vision would keep the balance previously provided by Schneiderlin. Please not Wotton or James.
  6. Looks like the prosecution are struggling From the Echo report
  7. http://www.ericmoody.com/ His two dogs shown in the photo's sadly passed away last and this year.
  8. It All started at 6am for him yesterday morning and at 12:30 this morning when he was last in touch with me he was awaiting a NZ TV crew to arrive for an interview.
  9. Spoken by a man who seems to know what he is talking about.
  10. I was thinking more of management rather than fans but agree, 6 games is no time to judge I think he is a good player as well. All I am saying is that he is a confidence player.
  11. He is very much a confidence player. Many asked why Plymouth let him go. Well, some of his performances of late have been poor and that may be the player Plymouth saw. When he went on loan to MK Dons, Puncheon said that Ince made him believe in his own ability and gave him renewed confidence. That was the player Pardew saw and signed. We have seen the best and worse from Puncheon in the short time he has been with us but with the right management and encouragement the best will outweigh the worse by large margins. Pardew has to understand the the sort of player he has. Screaming at him from the touchline will not do it. Encouragement is what he needs. Suporters may have a part to play as well Maybe that is why Pardew has not taken him off during those poor games?
  12. Who the hell am I!!!!
  13. Yep, good friend of mine. Bet he has been busy today! He reads TSW regularly as well but does not post.
  14. Dawson will get in ahead of Vince, trust me. Otherwise I agree your team. Don't forget Cork will be back soon as well although I expect him to have bit parts this season. Don't rule out Tomlinson or Benham either. Jones is coming on well and will also feature in a 4 day sometimes. However he has really been signed for next season. Vince & Briggs will continue to learn their trade in the 2nds along with Balcolme, Riazuddin, Howells, Woods.
  15. Nick, if you are blaming the Registrar you really do not understand how the legal system works. Stop being and old woman and enjoy the ride.
  16. Dawson is thought very highly by the club and coaches as a top order batsman at the present time. I suspect when Lumb comes back he will occupy the no 3 spot with McKenzie at 4 and Dawson at 5.
  17. I have never subscribed to the “they are toast” comments. PFC is near to the edge. They have no money other than that produced by the cup run and they still owe about £100m. Lack of money has seen them have to sell their better players before the season started and Administration has resulted in a 9 points deduction. Both have contributed to their relegation. Reports (Slater of BBC) now suggest that the Administrator will be able to secure a CVA of about 30% and that HMRC will not have the important 25% to enable them to influence the issue. So what does that mean? I do not have the full figures but Chainrai is a secure creditor still owed about £13.4m. Football creditor debts are about £10m. That leaves about £75m unsecured. A new owner must therefore find £22.5m for CVA plus say £23.5 secure creditors = £46M. On top of that money will be needed to invest in the playing side to avoid them imploding in the CCC. Assuming the parachute payments remain in place (if they are used to pay off creditors it means a new buyer has to find less to purchase so that balances out) then that may be the working capital a new owner needs. However the squad needs to be drastically changed as they will not be able to afford the high wages. Whoever buys PFC will not be doing it for love but as an investment in the long term. He or she will believe that it will be possible to return PFC to the Premier within the Parachute payment period. However, they have an unacceptable ground, no academy or training facilities and far too many employees still. All that will have to be dealt with to turn the club around, if it was ever going in a positive direction in the past! So, not toast but a very barren period with a totally new squad of players and every possibility of dropping another tier in the football hierarchy. Without the CVA there is the very real prospect of a further 15 points deduction next season and favouritism to drop further. If financial irregularities are identified it could get even worse. Would you invest your money in such an enterprise? Saints supporters should be content that PFC has not just received a bloody nose but a fractured skull and the prognosis is doubtful. We can enjoy their struggle for years to come. Just like old times.
  18. No need to panic. So we lost 3 points for not drawing against a club not expected to figure at the end of the season, and with Lumb, Dimi & Cork not playing. Well done Adams. Ali seemed to bowl well second innings. Dawson is being groomed as a top order batsman and not likely to bowl much. Homegrown players Dellman!! - Adams, Dawson, Benham, Griffiths, Tomlinson, Briggs. That is over 50% of out team.
  19. 75/1 off 20. 173 required off 28overs
  20. 11-0 off 6 overs. Seeing off the new ball
  21. 248 required in a minimum of 49 overs. As a 1 dayer, possible but on a wearing wicket and no bowling/fielding restrictions looks a tall order. My bet is they will play steadily until tea and review then
  22. Essex have a lead of 203 going to lunch. Rules for last day state minimum of 80 overs and then 1 final hour when a mininum of 16 overs need to be bowled. 31 overs bowled this morning. That leaves another 65 less 2 for change of innings. I do not expect Essex to declare yet. One senario will be to bat on for another 13 overs and try to get a lead of 250. That will leave Hampshire 50 overs to get at 5 an over. Let's see if Essex have the balls. Without Kaneria in the side (he has not arrived yet and rumour is he is one the local police would like to interview on match fixing issues) I think it unlikely. Game has draw written all over it.
  23. Many thanks from Frank's Cousin and myself to all those entering through Turnstile A for their massive support and donations. Frank was garanteeing a win to those donating. Thank God we did.
