  1. Well the season starts today. Much optimism with a new board, management team, playing system and more importantly young players who are hungry to prove their worth. Will we get a good start? The last time we won out first game of the season was Coventry away, 1-0 in 1999. Time to do it again? It will take time for the youngsters to gain experience. We may suprise a few with our 4-2-1-2-1 formation, our pace and eagerness to regain any lost ball. But will we be able to score in front of goal? Will we have the strength to come up against the brute force of this league? The pre season games against Premier footballers and the brutes that is Stoke City suggest we might. Bring it on. Oh, and a prediction? Sorry fellow Saints supporters but we have lost the last three at Cardiff without scoring. I see that pattern continuing today. 1-0 to Cardiff but enough effort to suggest a better season for us overall.
  2. When they were 55-5 I spoke to Jack Rudolph and he said the wicket was ok, just usual Yorkshire batting. Spoke to Nick Pothas at lunch and he said there was nothing wrong with the wicket, just good bowling. The fact we scored an unbeaten opening stand of 108 proves the point. A very good and important win.
  3. Go home to your own forum Tris!
  4. LLS is still about. He reads this forum under a different name, was on this evening, but no longer posts. Marc, if you read this give me a call. St David is on under a different name as well i think. He does post but is too tight to pay his fiver
  5. Hardly, he is away this week
  6. This has been going on since May! Every time I have contact it seems we are one step away and expect next week! Some pretty conclusive evidence in the mix from very reliable people BUT every next week nothing happens. Let's stay with what we have at present. Many of us seem upbeat without investment.
  7. An innings of 170 from batsman Jimmy Adams helped Hampshire into the final of the Second XI Trophy with a 118-run victory over Glamorgan. Adams shared an opening stand of 282 with teenage batsman Benny Howell (103), as Hampshire piled up 310-2 in their 50 overs. Glamorgan could only muster 192 all out in reply to crash to defeat. Hampshire now meet Essex in the final on 1 September, after Essex beat Leicestershire by eight wickets. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/counties/hampshire/7542259.stm
  8. OK, I admit it, it was my fault entirely.
  9. No. £5 is your payment limit. The Saints Web Ltd pay the fee out of that.
  10. How much to Paypal charge per transaction? I assume about 50p!
  11. I could not possibly comment
  12. Could not go myself as working at Goodwood race track but the reports from many I have heard reflect what you say Dave.
