Pardew expects Southampton board to keep their word
Weston Saint replied to John B's topic in The Saints
Whatever the outcome of the hearing on 1st March, Pompey were trading (maybe insolvent, but trading) so no illegal team put out against us. Birmingham will get a bye. We do not need the FA cup anyway. It is an unwanted distraction at present. -
Would you sign Papa Waigo N'Diaye on a permanent basis?

Why do you say he was not one of Pardew's signings Gordon!!! -
So was he. He swapped with O'Hara but they go back a bit and are good friends.
-
Yes, they could be responsible for the debt personally and they would almost certainly be debarred from being Directors for a long period.
-
No you clearly do not understand. The football debt is not preferred. It will be the new owners who buy the club and bring it out of Administration have to pay that part to get the ok to register with FA/PL.
-
Perhaps he is looking at the books

Seasborne is a natural left footer so brings balance to the side and cover when Harding breaks forward. He can also pass. For that reason I think he will get the shout ahead of Jaidi who, as you say, has done nothing really wrong in the last 2 matches Tough choice
-
Yep that is my expectation as well. Spoke to someone on Thursday and asked if Connolly had major injury issues. He says, as we know, his groins are shot away. He was not training at that time so I think we can count him out for the present

Pardew expects Southampton board to keep their word

I have no axe to grind. I was born in Southampton in 1952, lived here all my life, have only ever supported Saints. Delighted with our Owner and admire what Cortese has done so far (that does not stop me being critical if I do not agree with some of what he does from time to time) Thought Pardew was an excellent catch at the time but with the good signings he has made I am a little concerned he may not be up to the job but happy to see where we are at the end of the season. As for Lowe, it seems to me it is you who have the fixation, keep mentioning his name when someone disagrees with the way Saints are at times. I was neither a supporter or a hater of Lowe. I could see the decent things he did but he did a lot of damage as well. He was an arrogant, self interested non listener. What does your brother think of the present situation, him being an ex player with close contacts? -

Mr Pardew would do well to let his Manager skills on the pitch do his talking for him. To make a comment like he has to the media suggests he is a worried man but we do not know in what context the comment was made. For instance Q If you do not get promoted to the CCC at the end of the season do you expect to be sacked A "When I came here, he said I would be judged after 18 months and I expect to be judged after 18 months," said Pardew. "In the future I think we'll produce some really strong results. 'I'm very confident the guys I've brought in here will do a great job. We need to learn from days like this and next year we can become a real force like Leeds have become." Unless we know the question it is difficult to interpret the reason for the comment That said Cortese is clearly not a patient man. Pardew and the team are going to have to show a big improvement in the rest of our fixtures to give owner, Chairman and fans alike the evidence that we will be a force to much for our Div 1 opponents next season -
Simple Corporate Ho, if they are to be even handed they need to give it to all the other 19 clubs as well. Many are struggling financially and would welcome it. However the PL do not have that amount of money.
-
How many times now has he considered walking away!!!! I am beginning to dislike Storrie with a passion. He is a complete phoney. That said, "over enthusiastic" Saints fans might have gone a little to far if his wife felt intimidated. That is unacceptable and there should be no place for it in Southampton.

If you are trading insolvent then it does not matter if someone has expressed an interest. Administration it must be. Without the promise of a prospective buyer, Liquidation it must be.
-
When Vantis report next Wednesday, if it is to confirm they are trading insolvent, they will apply for Administration. The Directors have to or face a charge of trading whilst insolvent. Administration will give time for any new prospective owners to carry out their own Due Diligence. The courts will give them permission on Admin

OK, I will start. - he was invited to attend a game so I assume he did not pay- he is going to the FA Cup game in someone elses box - another free lunch I assume - BUT what about all the other games??????? McMenemy was a fantastic Manager for us as the article is clear to show. The Big Man is a legend in his time for us Saints supporters (well most of us) but he tarnishes his reputation by always thinking the world owes him a living or free lunch and speaking out when he does not get it. It is not just at Southampton Football Club as I know from first hand but that is another story.

Nicola wants better League Results
Weston Saint replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
Let me say the information came from a high level at SFC to another and everything else he has told me has been proved correct so far. If as Saint Clark says it came from Oldknow and he was sacked for it, because my source says he went quickly and as a suprise to many including himself, I am inclined to accept SC's post As for ottery, I will not raise to his bait or comment on what I really think of his posting on this forum. -
It is still a liquidation issue. The 28 days adjournment will be for them to find the money or reach an agreed payment plan with HMRC. Otherwise liquidation hearing in the 28 days will likely be their end
-
The thing against the 28 day adjournment is that PLC had three owners since the bill mounted up and none of them were inclined to settle. Also I am told that PFC had already agreed stage payments with HMRC the last time they could not pay and then failed to pay the first stage payment. I cannot see a lot of sympathy from the Registrar due to the many broken promises. That is why I have Administration as favourite
-
I am told that the local press say PFC have already approached firms to consider Administrating so if one has agreed that will likely be put before the Registrar as well.
-
Whilst my experience was civil court matters, if this court is similar in procedure, at the time of the hearing HMRC will put forward their arguments for winding up the business The registrar will already have bundles (evidence & documents) filed by both parties before the hearing. PFC legal team will then put their case and why they think a 28 day adjournment would be appropriate to give them time to resolve the issue. They will likely plead also that if the learned Judge (registrar) is mindful to uphold the winding up that she consider the wide consequences of employment of both the playing and backroom staff of the club and instead grant an order to put them into Administration giving such Administrator time to find a buyer. Even money on the Registrar granting Administration. 6/4 28 day adjournment and 6/1 Winding up Order granted.

I think you must have been watching another player. He caused all sorts of problems to their defence. They just could not handle him
