Cancelled my Sky subscriptions over the summer and moved to Virgin for broadband (way way faster) and telephone but didn't get a new TV package. Having been away from Sky for less than two months they sent me a flyer offering 75% off any TV package and £50 credit to my account. Now getting Sports plus Movies in HD for £25 a month.

Yey for me: Comment From Corp Corp : ] I was dissapointed to hear some of the chants last night - even if they were tongue in cheek - and so many "fans" leave before the final whistle. I expect better from the best fans in the country.
-
lol Comment From Corporate Ho Corporate Ho : ] I have a mate who I see socially who believes the trust will takeover in two to three weeks.

Went to the match at Fatpipe Park this evening (have family who follow Swindon). Strange match, town should have been out of sight by half time and continued to dominate into the second half. Only Howard and the keeper looked good for them. Pompey's main tactic seemed to be to lull swindon into a false sense of security by being abysmal and then suddenly try to take advantage in the last 10 mins. Unfortunately a couple of skates didn't read the whole memo and wasted some glorious chances late on. atmosphere was fairly muted, no singing from the side stands and generally all you could hear was the drum and tcwtb. There was a mass rush to the exits when the board for injury time went up and chants of "appt sort it out" during the match - and we're told that Pompey fans are always behind their team!

Has no one mentioned the Grand Canyon? Thumbs up from me for Monterey and Big Sur. Loved the feel of Downtown San Fran and obviously Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz etc

So one of the main things you take away from yesterday and today is that the Sun were hard done by. Jesus wept. You're an absolute clown.
-
Looks like Pap isn't alone in mistrusting the Sun. In an unrelated survey it was ranked least trusted of British newspapers. http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=50014&c=1
-
Self-pity? what's that got to do with it. I never buy the Sun because I think it is a **** paper. The apology IS little more than lip service. Why should we think it is anything more from a paper that has consistently showed base value over the years?
-
but I don't recall any TV pictures showing fans ****ing on corpses, beating up pramedics and groping dead women. There was plenty of footage of fans helping fans and shedloads of police just standing there doing nothing.

Britain needs to look after it's best interests. Bring Alpine Saint back from Austria!

Would be interesting to get the reaction from those most heavily criticised. Are Duckenfield and Irvine Patrick still around?
-
Dredge it up? That's your choice of words? So callous. You really are a sad person.
-
I think it is only right that quotes are referenced - have you got a link? In any case we should be careful with the Taylor report, after all they were dealing with corrupt public agencies and fabricated/altered evidence.
-
FFS give it a rest. I think you've made your point.
-
FC - take the advice. Can echo the description of getting into Fratton Park. Was at the front of the late group and you could feel the weight of people behind. No one individually was acting up but everyone was desperate to get in and watch the game.
-
I think you're adopting a very simplistic approach so that you can draw a conclusion.
-
There's even this thing called the interweb or something which makes looking at stuff really quick and easy.

Or sometimes people can't be bothered to explore an issue but deliver an opinion anyway?
-
Because the people at the back don't know what's going on in front. The fans trying to get into the stadium had no conception that people in the front of the terrace were dying, why would they? People take for granted the management of flows of people that now occurrs in modern stadia that are designed to avoid these situations. The whole design of that end acted like a huge funnel squeezing large numbers of fans into a confined space, even once you were in the area immediately behind the terrace you were stuck with no where to go. Compare that to SMS. Huge open areas outside the turnstiles, plenty of stewards organising lines into each turnstile, plenty of turnstiles, once through the turnstiles there are large open concourse with clearly marked entrances to the seats.
-
all a bit simple. do some reading if doesn't hurt your brain too much.

Read it again. The stands assigned to Liverpool had just over 20 turnstiles, roughly one per 1000 fans. Many of which kept getting stuck - this was a gorund remember that didn't have a valid safety certificate. The Kop used by Forest fans in comparison had 60 turnstiles.
